Why does Destiny disconnect my entire console?

This happens to both me and my girlfriend. We're on Xbox One. We will be playing and lose connection with the servers. We go to the dashboard and the whole console is offline and will not reconnect unless the console is fully powered off and back on again. And I don't mean just turn it back on and off. I guess it stays "active" somehow for a period of time after powering off. We have to cut the power by unplugging the power cord. Or wait a long time. This only happens with Destiny. Why and how is this even possible?

  • I have the same problem and I know at least one other person that has experienced it as well. I get mine after a weasel error code. Bungie refuses to acknowledge it, let alone fix it. Just so you know you can just hold down the power button on the xbox until it turns off instead of unplugging it.
