Let Etheric Light drop from previous raids
They should make the raids more likely to be played again since new content comes into the game

2 RepliesRemember radiant shard the first month of DB? When we were all struggling to max armor to light 34 when we didnt have enough shards. How many of those do you have now? Like most have already posted. 3x34poe= 3 NF= 1 plus RNG IB at least one character to rank 5 = 2 IB all 3 toons = 6 Trials x3 toons = 9 flawless Trials x3 toons golden package = 6 Trials silver package x3 toons =3 if you feel like grinding skolas = x3 Potentially can at least get 3-4 a week depending on how much you play. Just a matter of being patient about it. Thats probably why people would say there's a lot to go around.

3 Replieswould be a great idea... its never going to happen but it would be great, still say they should at least up the nightfall drop rate and make it a drop in 32 PoE... there is 0 reason it should be as annoying to get as it is now.

4 RepliesExcellent idea because: 1. Bungie promised that previous raids should still be worth our time. They're not... 2. Players who do no frequently play PoE and ToO doesn't really stand a chance at upgrading all their stuff. So yes, give Xur some etheric lights and make sure they drop in raids. Win-win!

I agree as I would much rather do one of the raids than PoE. Was tired of PoE after week two.

Unless they bumped the raids up to 34, it would be ridiculously easy to get etheric light.

This would be great if there was a new level of hard that was two levels above the current hard level in my opinion. No new modifiers of course.

Do 34, 35, trials, and nightfall

I would say make a special difficulty for Raid Bosses (Templar, Atheon, Crota, Ir Yut) not necessarily harder by just being level 35, more along the lines of modifiers on a 34 version with Heroic already being a given. This will give you a guaranteed 1 per kill with a 10-20% chance to give a second

Only say no b/c the only guaranteed EL drops are from lvl 34 fights, versus 26, 30, and 33 fights. Grind IB and pull together enough to reach max level, i ascended all my VoG armor on my Titan after last month's IB

Etheric light has to be hard to come by because its so valuable, I do think that when it drops in a nightfall it should come with something else, if your unlucky you get an etheric light and nothing else, on occasion you get an etheric light and a legendary weapon, and on rare occasions if you are not extremely lucky you get an etheric light and an exotic, thoughts?

1 ReplyI think Etheric light should be available in more places than just POE/TOO for those who hate those modes. Yes its available in nightfall and in Iron Banner, but not regularly, and nowhere near the quantities people have available to them if they love POE/Trials. So give those of us who hate Trials/POE alternatives to grind and still earn Etheric light. For instance: 1. Etheric light may be earned from completing a Daily Heroic mission on the hardest difficulty when the storyline mission is one from the House of Wolves. 2. Xur sells Etheric light for X amount of strange coins (assigned for balance, I would suggest 25-30 coins). 3. Random reward from completing an event. One Etheric light may be earned per week per planet. Combine these together and you could earn/buy up to 6ish Etheric lights a week without having to set foot in the POE or Trials and it makes other phases of the game that are currently irrelevant relevant again. It puts people who hate those two modes on equal footing with those who love those modes (maybe even less so, since you can earn 6 Etheric light just from POE alone if you run both 34/35 with every character). I can guarantee you that if Bungie did this, more people would play. And for those whining that Etheric light would be too easy to get then, you always have the option to forego obtaining extra Etheric light by not doing any of the above and sticking to trials/POE. There will always be those who take advantage and do both. If they want to spend every waking moment of their lives on the game so be it. But I do not want to spend countless unrewarding hours in Trials or POE when its simply not fun. Bring back the fun.
