Just saw this in a thread, trying to help a few out. Before you ream me out for this quick fix to a long term problem, my intentions are for you to use this as a last resort if Activision doesn't come through with a price change. I for one sadly doubt they will :(
Dear everyone not living in the U.S.
Change region to united states.
Buy microsoft giftcards in dollars.
Buy the game for dollar price.
Profit.
You are welcome.
Edit: Before another mindless bozo judges my life by this post: I am an American. I work therefore have money. I will be making a decision on TTK after watching reviews.

Why don't you just order a copy from amazon with a us account
-
This is true..... the Xbox One is considered region free, so you could technically change your region to U.S.
-
You gotta be really cheap to do this
-
Then when you switch back to your other region, you'll be locked out of the game because of region lock..
-
Yes....lets not encourage anyone to preorder. In the long run preorders kill all motivation to make a better a game.
-
Shhh bungie will find out
-
I hate America except for not really.
-
Pretty sure amazon adjusted the price of the legendary edition so that the conversion is closer to US retail and it is the correct version of the game.

Edited by TheDrift: 7/1/2015 3:08:36 PMBefore you recommend this have you checked to see if the TTK is region locked?...advice from the offical bungie support page..people may want to check first!! We are aware that a number of players are hitting region-related issues with accessing Expansion content on their PlayStation systems. Here are some suggestions for how to make the PlayStation infrastructure work for you, no matter where you are. Key points: The region for the disc and the new Destiny content must be the same The region for store purchases is determined by the account Official Solution: Obtain a disc in the same region as your primary account
-
Same for me.. I made the same decision last week.. Bungie better put up or shut up.
-
Amazon has lowered it's price for TTKing in Euros as of a week or two ago.
-
Or you can buy TTK from Amazon with US setup. It converts there.
-
Xbox one is region free, Im not sure about ps4. This could work with the 360 but it can cause a shit ton of problems. Downloads may or may not work. Any currency on your account will be lost, unless you spend it first. Regular disconnections to live can also happen. Also if your physical location and your region dont match purchasing can be -blam!-ed up. Its also against the coc/tou.
-
Many pretend to be us Only a few are us
-
Edited by DracoDominus_: 7/1/2015 1:16:45 PMI would be careful doing this with Sony though. If you have a UK licensed game (specifically the digital version and buy a U.S licensed DLC they will not work together. Do some research on it.
-
Reviews are total trash anymore. They are bought. I haven't agreed with any main stream review sites reviews for a good 4 years.
-
I will be making a decision on TTK after watching reviews.
I don't understand why you'll make the decision after someone else's opinion. Not everyone experiences games the same.
-
Oh dear god no Dont encourage forigners to lag up the US servers
-
You're gonna watch the reviews of some bozo before you buy TTK? Sorry, but if you play Destiny and still don't know if you like it enough to keep playing.....I'll stop here and let you figure it out.
-
Prices are like lower than us prices hear I think, because a Canadian dollar is like 1 Canadian dollar and a American dollar is like 1.13 Canadian dollars so we have like a discount I guess.
-
Canada bruh....
-
This is why my psn account is US and I buy psn cards from amazon...
-
Guess I'll bump this. P.S. Don't respond to bait.
-
This doesn't work unfortunately
-
Edited by xelon99: 7/1/2015 12:07:50 PMI don't think this'll work on xbox though. You can change the console to US, but not the account. For the Playstation I have no clue however. I know for a fact it wont work on the 360 due to region lock (PAL vs NTSC). I can't confirm it for the One though, but I doubt it'll be different

They will not change price, get a job ya cheap bastard.
