Destiny Ideas

So I was in the forums, just browsing, and I replied to someone's post about what Destiny could be, and what I thought would make it awesome. It got really good feedback, so I will post them here, and I will add on if you guys want to see my other ideas. Enjoy! Destiny would be great if it followed the lines of a true rpg. A solid story, side stories, exotics each had their own quests in order to earn them, etc. each planet would be truly open world, with fast travel to destinations in the planet. Say for example you were in old Russia, and you wanted to travel to another country that was on earth and in the game, you could quickly select a destination from a world map in your hud. Same would apply for other locations. It would also be nice if ships had some use in destiny, such as being able to fly from location to location. Say for example you are on earth. You could then find a "Ship Bay" and retrieve your ship. (You would land in the bay when you arrived at the planet.) from there you could fly out of the planet, into orbit, and travel manually to a new destination and land there. While flying, enemies such as the hive can be seen boarding a fallen ketch, an optional mission would pop up, saying "Optional: Interfere with an ongoing battle." From there you could choose to participate, or ignore it, your decision would affect gameplay. It would award xp, glimmer, engrams, and possibly gear. The battle would have a series of objectives similar to a round in the prison of elders. For example, objective one could be "Board the ketch and shutdown the system mainframe." Another could be "Stop Hive reinforcements from boarding the ketch." Objectives would differ depending on which side you took. Moving forward, choosing a side would affect the aggressiveness of one enemy toward you. If you side with the fallen, they will be more likely to help you fight of an enemy, rather than fight you. Each class would have a slightly different campaign, but side stories would be the same. For example, Bad JuJu would be acquired through a side story. The player would track down Toland, the shattered. Once found, the player would be brought to a new location exclusive to that quest. Toland would be your guide in finding the gun parts, and eventually, would award you the gun after going through his story and the required steps. The quest for Thorn, Super good advice, invective, pocket infinity, etc would all follow separate side missions. Other exotics, such as icebreaker and the last word, would be obtainable through everyday things. Xur, the agent of the nine, would have a series of quests to complete before you could purchase items from him. This would reset every week. On Friday, a warning would pop up saying "Xur has a task available guardian." He then would assign you a quest, which would award you 30 strange coins in total. This would allow the player to purchase only one item a week. You would find Xur at the Nine, but he would only appear on the weekends. These are just a few of my ideas, please comment if you like them. I will add more if I get positive feedback.

 • I actually made a concept for an exotic weapon in destiny. It is an auto rifle called
The Artist
. The exotic perk makes the weapon shoot explosive rounds that have slightly bigger than normal explosions. Sound over powered? Don't worry. It fires at a slow rate so that it won't be a big problem in crucible. It also has a smaller mag size and a fast reload time. Also, its design is very rounded and has little to no corners at all. It has splattered paint all over the gun and a custom scope. The scope shows a paint brush that changes color over time, with the tip of the paint brush being where it shoots. Its description will read,
sometimes the world needs to be your canvass
. I do have a picture but I can't find a way to attach it to this post. Any questions? Just ask them I'll reply as soon as I get to them. Do you think this weapon should be in destiny?
