Destiny Fan Concept - Dragonslayer's Proxy

This is another of my fan concepts, based on the new Titan Subclass "Sunbreaker". The Hammer itself was sculpted in ZBrush, the icons were drawn in Photoshop as well as the ability icons. (I also include here a link to see the model itself, untextured: https://skfb.ly/EYGW ) The idea behind this super/subclass, which I have lovingly named Dragonslayer, is as follows: “Every legend requires a rival. The Ahamkara created a weapon of their own demise, offering it to any who possess the bravery to wield it.” I had a rather elaborate idea. One that will no doubt spark some criticism from the community, but here it is. In order for Titan classes to gain their new Super, they must enlist the help of a Nightstalker and a Stormcaller. The unique abilities of each class enable the Titan to strike down an ancient Ahamkara (thus introducing them to the universe finally) and upon defeating it, The Dragonslayer's Proxy is imbued with the power of your fallen enemy, and since you are the hand that felled it you are proven worthy to pick it up. The final sequence of the mission has you being able to use your new super straightaway, protecting your enlisted allies until the Ahamkara finally retreat. As they retreat, the hammer disintegrates, along with the skill tree unlocks. You get a taste for your power with the hammer first hand surged by your victory. You will earn it again. The Abilities: JAWBREAKER Deliver a scorching strike at breakneck speed, knocking your enemy back and boosting primary weapon damage for a short time. EMBERLASH GRENADE Summon a pit of lashing flames which seek nearby targets by lashing with flame. The grenade is thrown as normal and is activated when it lands. BANNER OF SOL Pierce the ground beneath you, marking your territory with burning flames and rallying allies. This is a secondary ability when summoning the Proxy. It has a clear radius just like Ward of Dawn and slightly less time. "Rallying allies" translates to higher damage output as long as they are near the Banner of Sol. The primary use of the hammer (not described in the concept) is akin to wielding the Sword of Crota, a combination of quick smashes and a single heavy smash, all of which degrade the super meter similar to a BladeDancer. I saw an opportunity to elaborate on the design as a whole, and whilst I love The Hammer of Sol, I felt it didn't have much presence. I do however get that they seem to have kept it simple so as not to clash with the new goodies for Hunters and Warlocks. But, in light of the recent controversy over pricing for DLC, arguing over problems with Trials among other issues, I thought showing despite all of this, as an avid Destiny fan I can see through all of the problems and still adore the game. Those who are with me, my continued concepts are for you guys. For those who are quite rightly upset, I understand your outrage but please try to refrain from clogging the forums with repeat threads. Contribute to already apparent threads that pertain to your problems.

 • Great idea, though i feel this would be more of an artifact than the super itself. I hope artifacts do something like this, adding a new grenade and stuff like that to the subclass the artfact belongs to.
