Complete Translation of Ghost Fragment: Rasputin 3
Many people seemed to like my translation of Ghost Fragment: Darkness. The Dark Below gave us a similarly styled Ghost Fragment, called Rasputin 3:

Although it is more clear cut what is happening here than in Ghost Fragment: Darkness, I still wanted to translate this message into something more readable. I did not provide a full explanation for all my suggested translations, but have provided links (mostly Wiki) to some of the less intuitive concepts.

6 Replies in this Sub-ThreadI think Rasputin realized we couldnt defeat the Darkness. He watched the other Warminds falling, saw that annihilation was inevitable. The Traveler was going to leave us, like he left the Fallen, like he left other races. Run, save himself, start again with another species and hope they'd be stronger than we were. Then the Fallen once were too. Alpha Lupi was going to abandon us. Rasputin saw one was to preserve a small amount of humanity. To avoid complete extinction. He shut down all defenses. He let the Darkness in. Our worlds were already falling. Already crumbling before the Dark. He knew we were going to lose. The Traveler counted on us fighting. To hold back the Dark while he fled. Rasputin let the Darkness in, prevented the Traveler from escaping, and forced him to fight. He unleashed his Light, broke the Darkness's assault, and nearly destroyed himself. To save himself. Created ghosts with what Light was left, to create Guardians. To protect itself. That's what I think anyway.
