I became a werewolf. I don't usually use beast form, but I like having an immunity to all diseases.

    • There are way more pros then cons when being a Werewolf while there are more downsides to being a Vampire.

    • If you aren't playing Skyrim long enough to craft your own shit and bypass the weaknesses to fire and daylight, might as well not play lol.. I don't need to one hit anything when I can throw Giants off of cliffs and I drain health from everything except the occasional enemy type (like Ash Spawn, -blam!- em ugh). Multiple uses a day without spamming the wait feature or doing a Daedric quest to get a specific item, and I can murder anything from legendary dragons to that ridiculous frost giant on Solstheim, all the while looking like something that resembles more than a buff wolf lol. Sure they're OP as hell and they have that howl that calls two more wolves that have your Melee strength, but eventually I just got tired of swinging my crazy long wolf arms at people to see them fall. I like to main Auriel's bow too, so if I absolutely must travel during the "day" it isn't a problem lol. Usually I travel at night though, isn't as big of a hassle as you'd thing anyway. Well, only until I have my various armor and/or jewelry that buffs anything from fire resistance (though I like Dunmer and they have 50% fire resistance, so that works nicely haha) to stamina/health/magicka regen. Usually opt to choose the Lady Stone after I become a vamp too, though I usually wait til my sneak tree is near maxed to switch from my basic thief stone lol. I feel like there's more flavor to the vampire, sometimes I get real sadistic and let bats drain the last bit of health from my victims as I hold them still with telekinesis... then drop em to the floor dead. Their detect life ability is far more practical than it's howl counterpart too, as oftentimes I find that I open my wolf jaws and nothing emits from them until like 10 seconds later. Paralysis is okay (more fun to use than actual practicality), but just being able to change powers on the fly alone was what made me choose the vamp on like 80% of my files, if either. MAX OUT YOUR ENCHANTMENT TREE AND SO MANY DOORS WILL OPEN FOR YOU

The Dawnguard heavy helmet was my favorite helmet in the game. The rest of the gear was really cool, too.

      • The reason most people will probably say werewolf is because there are no downsides to playing as one, really. The only drawbacks are more damage from silver weapons (of which nobody uses except for the silver hands) and you can't receive the well-rested buff (which nobody really takes advantage of anyways) For vampires, its a give and take. You get lots of power but have to always feed, and are considerably weaker during the day. It's fun to play as one if you dedicate yourself to it but otherwise it's a bit of a chore. The dawnguard DLC makes them considerably better but they still have weaknesses. I'm going to choose vampire Lord, simply because I enjoyed playing one on one of my playthroughs. I especially liked how I could go vampire Lord whenever I wanted, because it was extremely useful to transform and destroy at any time for as long as I wanted.

      • I usually be a Werewolf until I get a bunch of cure disease positions. I really don't like being a vampire.
