Destiny Servers
Just curious to see if anyone else out there is experiencing just horrendous lag like my friends and I have. I've lost three Trials runs (all promising, and twice now (yes, TWICE) on the last game) because everyone's connection was so bad that one of our teammates literally lagged out and was just frozen at spawn. Happened another time when I played with random people from LFG.
I would say that it started right when House of Wolves came out. Its not just trials though, Crucible sometimes is unbearably bad. I can't speak to the raids because I haven't played them much since HoW came out but PoE is also a hot spot for poor connection.

Raids are lagging bad too. Did crota hm the other night and we couldn't get him down a second time with five ghorns kept killing our swordbearer till he rage quit

Poor connection on 06/22/15. Playing Prison of Elders could not even finish a 32. We red, yellow, green bars fluctuating. Shooting a cursed thrawl in the head his health would go down all the way but not expload with the Fang. We all 3 have excellent internet service. Bungie was there something else you did in update???? We even left and restarted ps4's, still bad. WTF Bungie. We even tried Crota and the crystal on the center plate you activate was not even there.

Two trials runs where we were respectively 5-0 and 7-0 got ruined by this. First one was teammate lagging out and being kicked. Second and third time was me getting frozen controller/ screen/ game. Could see the game continuing but couldn't move, go in menus, go to console homepage. Had to do a hard reset on console. Very annoying. Then other teammate lagged out so flawless ruined twice. Haven't been back in since. So much for connection recovery.

Edited by Pravity: 6/15/2015 12:41:52 AMYeah trials has gotten pretty bad. Every other game I go against kids who are impervious to all damage except supers. I saved a clip where I shoulder charged someone and it did nothing. It made the sound and I was more than within distance. My teammate then shotty bashed him and it only took half his shield away. So it's not just KTOs, it's everything.

I'm a little scared to play Trials now. Lol. Man how scary it is to have your controller not responsive.

1 ReplyEdited by The 7th fall: 6/14/2015 10:52:53 AMNew ways of cheating are being reported on the forums such as DDOS, forced error lag outs(ok that isn't new lol) and freezing people's controllers and systems to the point of having to pull the power cord. So thanks to Bungie releasing ToO and new Iron Banner, it opened up a new wave of cheaters. Even if Bungie keeps banning various cheaters, it'll takes ages before you see a significant reduction in cheating. It really is sad how these cheaters have to cheat in order to get Etheric Light, armor parts, weapons or get to the Lighthouse... makes genuine PvPers like myself not wanna do it due to the risk of being pitted against cheaters/hackers.

I've had a lot of good connection without lag earlier in May, but nowadays I've actually seen horrendous lag. HORRENDOUS.
