This topic came up last night amongst some of my raid buddies, but I realized that a successful trials group needs the one strong leader to maintain strategy and persistence among games. My friends tried to take someone through but got knocked out because of lack of a good leader.
So this brings the question? What is your role in your trials group? The leader? Support? Wild card?
Edit: Obligatory 200 reply milestone edit. Keep 'em coming guardians. I'm seeing lots of people with some interesting strats and clutches. I'm interested!
Edit 2: I'm seeing a lot less T-baggers than I would like. Come on! I know you're out there!

Snipe .... And then snipe on revives whole team grenades and push up then I follow up
-
The lifter. It's because I carry. Jk
-
My role is the guy that runs from the other team because both of his teammates split up and pushed what they wanted....
-
I am the information/backup. I take the less common routes in the map (assuming there is one) and give the information on enemy positions as best I can figure out to my agressive team mate to capitalize on. I flank while he engages and clean up if he goes down. I'm the guy they never supers unless shit hits the fan, just in case.

Scout/sniper

I PUNCH THE ENEMY

Trash man. I clean up the garage my other two teammates couldn't finish :)
-
Leader/sniper. When my team mates get a bit edgy and try to rush for the win. I calm them down and tell them to wait it out. My team comprises of 2 powerful rushers (them) and the back of map sniper (me). I can usually pick off one or two kills per round. And maybe all three if they come into sight of my last round spear.
-
Pusher, if my teammate wings the opposition. I chuck a grenade, get the kill. Run up to secure the area.
-
Leader I call the shots also slayer
-
My amplified GEO-D6 becomes acquainted with a lot of skulls.
-
Leader. I do most of the callouts and coordinate everyone on when to use their supers, what route to take based on enemy weapons and behavior, etc... I'm usually pretty aggressive without pushing though.
-
Sniper 100% of the time
-
Flanker with the shotty. Suppressing fire and anti-hunter with my hunter.
-
I'm the defender support variation, if anyone passes a certain point in the boundary I create I reward them with death.
-
I'm the agressor/pusher since I'm packing armamentarium with 2 lighting grenades/lucky rasberry with trip mine.. when we get that early first kill I'm already pushing and locking the revive with a grenade..
-
Sniper / grenadier / rezzer
-
Medic/support, rusher once the team sniper gets one down
-
The crazy sonofabitch.
-
I'm the person who isn't high enough level to get into it, and is too lazy to complete the story to do PoE
-
I snipe, then team rushes orb then i snipe the revive then rush to

I thought you meant roles like "sniper", "rusher", "scout", etc. Honestly, I could fulfill any of those roles, however, I like scouting (mostly because I'm terrible at getting kills until I've died a time or two). Scouting is purposefully dying in an area populated by the enemy, then call out their positions, what weapons their using, etc. (Mind you, as this role, you also have the ability to get kills, but you're main objective would be to provide Intel post-mortem.)
