How to get more passage coins?
I know you can get some by doing the daily crucible match. Other than that, random crucible drops?
First couple of packages from Trials.
Anywhere else?

I get them from crucible pretty often

You can get 3 as a drop from crucible.

Do the daily PvP match and keep playing crucible. One of my teammates got 3 coins and they were at the bottom of the leaderboards.
