Hello everyone, if you have been playing since the HoW release, then your probably in a similar situation as myself. Having all three characters with basically full inventory space for weapons, armor, materials and consumables while having little to no extra vault space.
Although I love everything about this dlc, except for exotic handcannons in trials, it is getting very difficult trying to balance what I should keep, what I should discard and what I should put in the vault.
This DLC has brought about some new items. Tokens for Variks, Treasure keys, Etheric Light, and more special synthesis than I could ever have wanted.
Simple fixes I feel.
1.) Let us discard any item we want, be it a telemetry, ammo synth or glimmer consumable. I don't want to have to keep popping special synths every five minutes to try and get rid of them.
2.) Make certain items stack. Treasure keys do, but not everything else. Most notably the amethyst, which are fairly easy to come by. And certain other items won't stack while others do.
3.) Make vault space like the friends/roster UI. This is the best suggestion I could think of. Instead of adding more squares, turn the vault into a page flipping storage. The UI is already there, if you have your cursor above the Armor slots and hit the Right Trigger, then your armor section will flip to the next page. Same for weapons and materials. Jist like your friends list and roster.
If you agree or have any suggestions, feel free to share your opinion! Any idea could be a good idea that should be heard.

Edited by Diamond D Nice: 5/26/2015 1:14:05 AM1. don't limit a single item to squares of 200. Just let my 2000 spirit bloom take up one square. Steep plating doesn't seem to have a limit but other tings do. 2. Don't cap glimmer so i can redeem network key's etc. I have 72,000 glimmer in network keys sitting in my vault that could save space if cashed in. but i'm Always at my max glimmer. 3. Take space from postmaster lost items. Reduce lost itmes by 10 and give the 10 slots to weapons (or whatever's needed). 20 lost items is 20 per character too. Maybe they could cut that to just 10 per character and add the 30 extra spots into the vault. 4. Utilize unused ghosts slots of weapons I have one ghost in a year (didn't by dark below). Those 9 spots are wasted. Other improvements -make it so we don't have to back out of the vault merely to de-equip an item. We can equip/de-equip items in the bounty menu. it's tedious to have to back out each and every time. -A nice addition would be the ability, like in the app, to move specific numbers of items.
-
They should also make it that when you get an emblem or shader, its unlocked from a list, so you can just pick from a list drop down instead of holding 9 and continually getting doubles in the post.
-
Nice ideas. The only problem is that old consoles would open your vault just in time for Xmas.

I'd appreciate a higher cap for stacked items, glimmer and marks as well. Also higher yielding rep gains from strike playlists. No way should I only get 25 rep from the 24 and the 28. The jump between rep gain on the weekly heroic is huge, why not be a bit more generous on the strikes as well? 75 for 28!

Edited by ccSPiTFiRΞ: 5/26/2015 5:49:29 AMBump! As an example of each vault "Page" having 60 slots: Page 1: - Column 1 of 30 slots (Armor) - Column 2 of 15 slots (Class Items) - Column 3 of 15 slots (Shaders) Page 2: - Column 1 of 30 slots (Materials) - Column 2 of 15 slots (Consumables) - Column 3 of 15 slots (Currency) Page 3: - Column 1 of 20 slots (Primary Weapons) - Column 2 of 20 slots (Special Weapons) - Column 3 of 20 slots (Heavy Weapons)

I see where your coming from with the deleting things like synths and stacking, good ideas, but the page flipping wont work. It's got nothing to do with UI and all to do with the memory RAM available on older gen consoles. They can't handle having more space and Bungie want both gens to have the same game. Until Bungie give us a current gen only Destiny, I think we're full for vault space I am sad to say.
-
While I like the idea, you can't say it is well thought out. The reason we do not have giant vaults to store our crap in is due to the strain on the system if they were big empty storage spaces that we could fill up with 500 heavy synths and 1000 NLB's. Think about the requirement such an expansion of vault space would need. It's especially not feasible considering the vast amount of players on last gen consoles.
-
Wont happen for the older gens memory limitations prevent it.
-
From what I understand, they cant increase vault anymore than it is because of xbox 360/ps3 storage limitations. And I dont think amethyst stacks because they dont want people having a huge stash of 5000 glimmer reward consumables
-
More character space would be nice too

Edited by shihanjiru: 5/26/2015 9:41:53 AMAll 3 characters should have there own vault space but at the same time grant acces to the vault of the other chars that will help all this :)

I like the idea of having armour / weapons / others on separate pages. In addition to this, what I would really like is a split screen so I can see my vault inventory on one side and guardian inventory on the other. This would make it a lot easier to swap equipment I would also like the ability to equip something without leaving the vault. I cannot count how many times I have gone to dump a weapon into the vault only to find I still have it equipped and have to go out, change and then go back in again Another thing it would be nice to have would be to filter the vault weapons by type so you could choose to show all, only primary, only special or only heavies. This does not mean having a dedicated number of slots for each (very bad), but just filtering the view to make finding what you want easier
-
No need for big ideas , just make it so in your vault u can store as much as u want , just make pages u can scroll through
-
... Also delete / reassign spaces for ghost skins and reduce space for vehicles
-
Urm it's cause ps3/X360 can't cope. Else we would have more space

I couldn't agree more with this! My Destiny experience is now spent juggling weapons and items between characters as my vault is bursting at the seams. I have loved both the PoE and the ToO but as I use different weapons for each of them and need to swop them around I have had to delete literally dozens of weapons as I simply cannot carry or manage them. 1. The point above about allowing the same items to stack is fundamentally important and would be an instant fix, I know nothing about coding but surely it cant be hard to change that number from 20 to 99 or even 999 or 9999. This goes for everything, ammo, keys materials EVERYTHING! Also let me discard or sell anything. 2. With emblems, shaders, ships, class items (cloaks etc) once I have found or "unlocked" them let the special items woman in the tower hold them for me so if I delete them for space I can buy them back whenever I want to for say 1 glimmer or even 5000 glimmer I really dont care how much, I'm a collector and I hate having to delete things. Again this mechanic is already there as she still has the shaders and emblems I got with the pre-launch codes. 3. Uncap glimmer as the cap is ludicrously tiny, make it 99,999 if it cant go above 100,000. I love this game and I even enjoy the grind but glimmer farming takes me away from things in the game I actually enjoy that I think Bungie actually intended us to do like strikes and raids etc. Also let me earn glimmer from raids and PoE, why is there a restriction on that!!! 4. Weapon space in the vault is easily the biggest problem though and I have no clever suggestions except to say make it bigger. 5. I would also like to have a Guardian training area where I can take my new unupgraded weapons to a shooting gallery of sorts and test them as though they were fully upgraded to see how they feel and whether I should keep them or not. If space wasnt an issue I'd keep them all but it is so I cant. I cant see this happening now though but Destiny 2 maybe??

Bump One of the most valid posts I've seen on the forums for a while
-
It would be really nice to get 3 more weapon slots in your character's inventory as well. Right now you can carry 10 of each type of weapon, so my suggestion is to bump that up to 13. With 3 very different classes of special weapons and the 3 types of damage, it's hard to always be carrying the perfect weapon for particular situations while also keeping a couple of empty slots there for picking up green engrams. The Vestian Dynasty sidearm is now taking up yet another special weapon slot.
-
Solution: Delete everything you love. That's what I did to my wonderful cape collection =(
-
ive got a suggestion, just make the vault bigger like k lololol
-
-
Just increase the inventory sizes for weapons and gear. If only 3 more slots that'll be 21 more slots easy.
-
Make this happen Bungie for the love of god! My armor vault is empty bcoz obviously all my legendary armor and exotic armor is kept on chars, but the weapon slots are a huge problem! I havent even gotten my hands on all the trials weapons, HoW weapons, new exotic weapons and yet my vault is to 80% full.
