I thought a nice idea to bring the community together would be to gather everyone's knowledge on the story of destiny and fill my archive on this post :) I will fill it as often as I can with simplified grimoire, and other known stories in order of time As the story in the game is explained I will refer to 'you' as 'the guardians' as it is most likely the missions completed by us in the fiction were tackled by a fireteam of brave guardians. If there is any destiny knowledge you would like added to the archive please comment below :) > AT THE BEGINNING A long time ago, a giant floating sphere called the Traveller arrived in our solar system, ushering in an era of great prosperity for humanity, known as the Golden Age. The Traveller shared its technology and vast knowledge with the local humans, whose lifespans duly tripled as they spread out across the many planets of the Milky Way After centuries of good times came the Collapse. An evil force called The Darkness, an enemy of the Traveller began to grow and wreck havoc on the galaxy humanity had once owned. Decimated by The Darkness, the last vestiges of humankind retreated to Earth, where the Traveller made its last stand, sacrificing itself to save the people who remained. The Traveller became dark and dormant, but still powerful enough to shelter one last location, The City, in its shadow >THE STRANGER Some believe she is part of an ancient exo squadron, fighting a long forgotten war. She has been reported phasing in and out of our world, helping some guardians in reported cases. Others argue that she is just a wild hallucination brought by expositure to Vex technology >THE GUARDIANS Hunters, Titans and Warlocks. > ATHEON & THE VAULT OF GLASS <ARCHIVE EMPTY> >ERIS & CROTA Crota is the son of Oryx. The Monster of Luna (our moon). He dwells in the Dark Below, walking underneath the green sky. Crota butchered one of the greatest team of guardians ever known and ever since, the moon has been abandoned rather than humanity face him. The current question is, are the Hive Netherworlds and the Vex Portal System connected in some way? > THE AWOKEN QUEEN & THE HOUSE OF WOLVES <ARCHIVE EMPTY> > AHAMKARA Ahamkara are dragon like creatures with an ancient power that the Warlocks longed to possess, eventually it came to the descision that these creatures may turn on humanity and are to be hunted to extinction. And so it became. So they thought. Only Warlocks were a match for them, but many Warlocks were noted to act strange around the dragon hunting grounds and especially odd when seen outfitting the ahamkara bones, as if the bones had control over their warlock hosts. Hunters, who began the hunt on the ahamkara, were proven out matched by the larger, more powerful, greater ahamkara that only the warlocks could stand a match for. Titans showed no interest in hunting the beasts, perhaps as they lacked Solar energy they knew they were no match for it, or perhaps the Titans saw something unsettling in that power that the warlocks were too blind to see. Now, rumours say hunted to extinction is not exactly accurate as they have been seen on Venus and also at the tower on Earth. Are they are keeping a watch on the progress of humanity? > THE TAKEN KING A female hunter gains audience with the Queen and speaks of putting an end to Oryx once and for all, with or without her help. After she speaks there is a tension then a smile.. The strange hunters words gain the Queens favour.. Oryx must fall. Is Oryx also the taken king? Is the hunter the exo Stranger?
