Equipment upgrades
Does anyone know if you're going to have to level your gear up the way you do when you purchase it from xur? I got the hardlight before the update and had to level the whole thing up again. Kind of a pain in the ass. Was wondering if it would be the same after HOW drops.

2 RepliesNo, so how it works is as such. A new material will be implemented into the game called Etheric Light. What this does is it automatically upgrades your legendary weapon to the new damage cap. So if you have a Fate Bringer for example and it's fully maxed at 300, once you use the etheric light it will be automatically upgraded without having to reset your progress. As far as exotics go I don't believe you need the etheric light but just an exotic shard. One thing to keep in mind as well is if your weapon isn't fully maxed yet you will not be able to get it to the new cap until doing so.
