De-briefing in progress (serious suggestions)

Vanilla game rant: I have been playing since day one. I admit I feel/felt cheated at first. This game did not live up to the hype, or the promises and ideas that were pitched at first. This game is not an MMO, not even close. There is not nearly the exploration that was pitched at first. (Why only one area for each planet? Also why not all 8/9 planets?). This has nothing to do with DLC. Out of the gate this game was small. It did not and does not take long to beat this game, or get to level 20. Two sayings I remember hearing with this game came out. "In destiny you are going to feel like a powerful guardian" "In destiny you see someone with an exotic it is going to be impressive" This game doesn't do either. Because you made exotics easy to come by. It doesn't mean anything that I have the Last Word, Suros, Hard Light. I say these to another play and they are just words. The other players don't care because they probably have either seen or have them already. You don't feel powerful, because most purples are as strong as exotics. Because we needed to "balance" the game you pretty much cut the head off your end game. How am I suppose to feel like a god with my Last Word? When bob has a market hand cannon that is just as good? doesn't really make sense does it. Don't worry we will get to the point. This is the part that drove away the first wave of players. The people who were hardcore COD fans. Who secretly always wanted to try Halo. Some of my buddies were in that group. Once everyone beat the game (most in the first couple days) Then we moved over to crucible. Once everyone realize it didn't matter if your got 40 kills or 0, (your odds are all the same) They all left. Because what was the point? If it didn't matter how hard you tried then there was no competition to keep people playing. That is another huge glaring problem. You mean that I don't even have to try any more then showing up and having a pulse, and I get just as much of a chance to win the gold medal. As the guy who just put in work and slayed? How is that in any way far or sense-able? I know we live in this feminazi age where competition and "Manliness" is a bad thing, but if you want to keep people interested you are going to have to do better then. Everyone gets a gold star. Then you saturate the gold star market and the gold star economy collapses. Seriously look that shit up it is just bad economics. You destroyed that aspect of the game. No reason to try, or reason to put anything more then the minimal effort to succeed into the game. You are not rewarded for doing well, you are rewarded for having a pulse and pressing "enter mission". This is was the second week. Hardcore gamers such as myself were already level 22/24/26 in this area. We had a limit on the amount of Marks, and Glimmer we could carry, but no limit on the amount you could earn. So a rift started to form in PVP at least. You had players who played the game, and people who dabbled in the game. You had some guardians who were level 22/24/26 with purples and some exotics (this is the point when if you had Last Word you were PIMP) Then you had some week end warriors who were maybe 20, with blues, maybe some purps. So in PVE, who cares you are working together so not a big deal. In PVP though, god damn those weekend warriors were getting their asses handed to them by the fleets finish, I tell you what. This is when the forum ear was open widest I guess. Because even though the weekend warriors lost. They convinced the general to hand over keys of the ship to them. They cried and cried about how "Life isn't far, It isn't my fault I am big boned, and the sun was in my eyes, and I have a lame right foot, and I am left handed, and THIS IS MY STRONG HAND and ..... Really because I thought that "FAIR" was an even playing field and you get out what you put in. But when you make it so everyone always gets the same out come that is not fair that is EQUALITY. Let me go look that up. FAIR : agreeing with what is thought to be right or acceptable : treating people in a way that does not favor some over others : not too harsh or critical Some where putting in more then others instead of telling those that didn't play enough "Well I guess pick up a -blam!-ing controller then since you care so much" Obviously if they "don't" have time to play the game then it is not that important to them, just saying, it doesn't take that long to get leveled up and get "some" gear. Instead we get Equality because we all need to learn to care right? So now not only is there no point to try and do well at the game or be competitive in any way, but now you are only allowed to play the game so much. Well I mean you can play if you'd like, you just get nothing. -evil laugh- because in the interest of Equality we have to keep everyone at the same level with the same stuff for as long as possible. I want to have a race here are the rules: We will run the race 5 times. The winner of the last race wins it all After each race we will see who places were Then depending on how you place we will give you a weighted vest As you run if you place higher and higher you get more and more weight WHO WINS????? I honestly couldn't tell you This is the problem with your game. If everyone wins, no one wins. In life you have losers and winners, and winners win? Because they put in the effort and time. Sad fact of life, Most of the time you are not going to be a god at something. First time you pick it up. You have to PRACTICE, seems we forgot what that word means. No one want to try anymore. Since there was really no point in trying, and you could only play so much. A small minority of community members took to abusing the systems flaws. Hence the loot drop and the first raid problems. That being said I love this game. It is like halo on crack. I have been playing since day one. I played it a ton when it first was released. I still play from time to time. The game play is so smooth. (Minus the fact that I can't turn the sensitivity to 11 because it is to slow) Versus is a lot of fun. Some maps are great and others have balance problems, but that is okay. Supers in PVP are annoying, but eh still really fun. You guys got the game part of the game down pat. DLC and other shit rant: I don't understand this concept. I don't understand why you add content only to take it away the next week. Everyone says your game lacks content. So why is your solution every time they say this, to add something, for a week? So the game lacked content the week before you added the content, then you add it. Then that week passes and you take the content away again, so you are back at lacking content...... I have a wonderful idea I know it may not have crossed your mind, but why not add something and just leave it in the game -gasp- O my what a revelation. You mean actually add to the game, like permanently add something to the game? Wow what a complex idea. Seriously guys it is time to pull your head out of the sand, your ass, someone else's ass, where ever you placed your heads. Actually do something to improve this game. You may have the little kiddie market right now, because something new and shiny hasn't come out yet. Eventually they are going to move on in masses. If who ever is in charge actually starts using some common sense and fix these glaring -blam!-ing problems. Then you could stand some hope of keeping some fan base after Black Ops 3 comes out, because lest be honest. The market you have now is going to leave, if not before, then when that game comes out. You set the bar to low to try and appease the casual crowd, make money money, make money money. Which is just sad that you would tarnish the reputation of your game. Notable facts: Game is really fun. Game play is smooth and buttery. Visuals delight. Game is short/small. Game didn't take long to beat. Obvious problem with common reasoning used to build game. Game doesn't live up to hype Game has problems with loot system Game has problems with reward system Game has problems! Raid problems Hunter Standing Down. As for most people who are going to say. Why do you care so much or Why make such a big fuss? I care because I like the game, if I didn't like it I wouldn't care. I am finally making a fuss, because I see what this game could or could have been. It is a lot more then what we see today.
