I was pretty pumped to see this in the crucible changes of the weekly update:
-Reputation and Mark gains will double for each completed Crucible match
Hopefully it cures the constant quitting in crucible matches, I wonder how long it stacks? Will this mean much faster crucible levelling and rewards for continuous completed games?
I'm excited to see exactly how this works and glad consistent players are going to be rewarded. I think it's a great step forward and can't wait to see the results.
How about you? Thoughts?
Edit: I realize this could mean it only doubles once, and the more I think and read others opinions this is probably the truth. Which is still a good thing.
At least legendary drops have been added in post game rewards as well, more incentive to see it through anyway.
I got myself all hyped up about the possibility of it stacking, I mean that is a totally solid solution to people quitting matches. If it did work this way we could almost eliminate quitters completely.

Now it takes 34-50 matches to max out crucible marks in a single week After HoW drops it'll be 17-25 This is pretty amazing
-
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG
-
They should stay 2 for a loss, the difference in winning and losing is too small imo
-
Edited by Carolina OvR: 5/3/2015 9:59:20 PMNo.. All this means that instead of 3 and 2 you get 6 and 4 per game
-
That means each time they put you back to orbit or each time you get disconnected it starts all over. I think its a good idea if it works properly but getting it to work properly will be an issue. If you back out to go to another match cause of the lagfest you start all over also.

They should do this for strikes as well. I feel like it would work better than nerfing 1/3 of the bosses life
-
It means you get twice as many rewards for completing a match as you do currently. No stacking. They are simply giving you a raw rewards increase for each match.
-
Thanks for doing your job bungie-I guess
-
Thank god when i saw it i was hyped cause you can legit level up a faction while doing VIP mission on patrol cause it gives you 31 rep Crucible gives you 31 rep when you win and what 12 when you loose like WHHGAAATTT
-
It just means for EACH match, instead of say 15 for a win, you get 30
-
Back in halo, they did double exp so this must be something like that.
-
The reason I like playing iron banner is the chance for a legendary to drop after rank 3. With legendaries dropping in normal crucible, I might play it more during the week
-
Crucible still broken either way
-
It's been long overdue. The Crucible is a lot more demanding and a lot less rewarding than the Strike playlists.
-
No but you about to catch these hands
-
It simply means we'll be getting 6 points for a win and 4 points for a loss.
-
6 marks per win = bæ
-
I'm happy bungie is actually listening
-
It's just saying that the current amount of crucible marks will double. Not stack on and go 2,4,8,16. Just stay at 6 for a win and 4 for a loss
-
If you win match instead of 3 marks you get 6 and instead of 31xp you get 62xp
-
They're trying to make the Crucible more appealing which I think just might work with this update.
-
I just took it to mean that you get 4 marks for a loss and 6 for a win, instead of 2 and 3, same for rep, which would bring it in line with doing strike playlists.

Edited by Olafaloofian: 5/3/2015 11:49:17 AMThey are increasing the marks and gained PER MATCH by double. Not computing it. It should read as that.
-
Yes, they are making yet another stupid resource abundantly more available lol..

Not really impressed and I thought it wasn't needed honestly. It takes me two to three days of just completing Crucible Bounties to max out Crucible Marks for the week. Crucible players will be maxing out in the first day or two of reset now. That's not including bounties.
