Thorn bounty
Is it possible to alter the requirements in the Thorn bounty? Since the change to the amount of special and heavy ammo it makes it even harder for those of us who have a hard time just to get more kills than deaths. I suck at crucible to start with as my reflex speed is not what it was when I was in my 20's. Need help with this. I keep trying and I don't want to give up on this.

2 RepliesHi CalCharlie, There is no way to alter the requirements for the Thorn. Try taking it slowly when playing crucible, even as far as "camping" a particular control point with a void shotgun/fusion rifle. I would recommend the Swordbreaker from the Crota raid. If you are able to go through Crota on hard, there is a chance you will receive the Word of Crota. This void hand cannon will make short work of that portion of your bounty. Just keep chipping away at it, you'll get it!

Well, as op as the gun is, you need to earn it. I'm lucky I got mine in October before all the nerfs and buffs

Here's another sort of "hack" you can try. If you have five other friends who are up for it, have them run some matches of rumble with you. I did this for my bounty and it got me a lot of progress before I gave it a rest for the day. After that I got a void shotgun and just went to control and laid waste to all those who decided to camp at the control points. That part of the bounty was done after about 2 to 2 and a half days. It is really frustrating though. My first attempt was with a void sniper. Needless to say I didn't get very far.

Edited by tyrillia: 4/28/2015 8:13:41 PMhey CalCharlie, if you are having a hard time with the thorn bounty during the crucible part then you can try using the word of crota as a primary and try using a shotgun like swordbreaker/judgment and then use a heavy machine gun such as corrective measure from vault of glass, that worked out for me pretty well also, you can try playing more defensive in crucible so you won't die too much i hope this helps
