Can we talk about the good things in Destiny that are getting left behind?

So, there are a lot of things in Destiny to love but some of them have either been changed destroyed or made invalid. Some, like the Raids will be renewed once the HoW update comes out and we are able to trade up our mats and level up our gear and that is awesome but a few things still need improvement and I would like to start a community discussion to bring attention to the things I think need worked on and hopefully you guys can add to it. (It's long but worth a read I promise.) 1. Patrol- This right now is an area where people only go to get their bounties done. Even then some of us have missions check pointed here and there that we refer to instead. Patrol should feel like you are out in the wild, a cross section of warring factions divided by land grab and resource availability. Active missions could be put in place to hold areas for the vanguard or else be overwhelmed and controlled by one of the other alien races making that area somewhere that must be fought over to regain control and access to your world quests. Also a harder version of Patrol could be added as well, however just bumping up the level cap and adding some yellow bellies isn't the only way to make things "Hard Mode" Bungie 2. Events- Another thing involving patrol that I thought deserved it's own section is the events. These are incredibly fun quick matches against intense enemies that used to take up a lot of guardians time because we loved farming and completing them. Now they are easily soloable quests that drop items no one wants an only get completed when on happens to drop near someone randomly. These could easily be improved by simply adding a better loot table and maybe updating the Patrol difficulty. There are also harder fixes that could be made though like; Patrol bosses randomly wandering the wastes (preferably with specific loot) Scenarios that add in more of a struggle like changing zones during events for the land grab scenarios I mentioned in #1 or even just a little more life added to them like instead of dinklebot sitting there while you're "protecting him" even though you're just fighting how about they actually attack him? or the Attack tank walks around some? there's a lot of ways to do it. 3. Campaign missions- Now this probably could have been number one but this is only for those of us who care to do these missions again. There is absolutely zero replay value for the story missions, bounties are repeats so you checkpoint your spot and never go past it again. There's no exp or gear allotted after the first completion so what's the point? you should really look into making this some type of game mode that people want to play again and farm and whatever else makes a good social online game. Nuff Said. 4. Chests- These used to soak up a lot of my day before we had the ability to just trade our marks for mats and it was actually a really fun and interesting aspect to the game back then. No, I'm not suggesting that letting us buy our mats was a bad decision but what I am saying is that the chest need to be brought back and in a BIG way! Make them more scarce and make them have different levels Distinguishable with a color code or a glow. They need to drop better loot I believe throwing Glimmer items in the rotations would be a great addition Black wax Idols Ether Seeds, etc. Along with better chances for Legendaries and Blue Engrams varied by the level of each chest. 5. Social interaction- If you played Destiny from the beginning you may remember The Loot Cave Man this was a hot topic for a long time. If you do remember it then you will remember, sure, it was a cheap way to sit and grind for legendaries and hit your glimmer cap however, it was also a campfire in the wilderness where Guardians would come and sit and talk and dance and goof around showing off gear and fighting the good fight alongside one another. This lost aspect of Destiny has yet to be addressed and it is a known factor that we lost from the loot cave. Here are my suggestions. -Guardian outposts in the world: this could really alleviate some of the problem just a small area with a vendor and maybe a bounty bot, it can't have all the comforts of home but some would suffice. There also need to be something there to draw the guardians together like a shooting gallery or table to sit and eat something. I dunno it could be a lot of things but it's going to be a necessity in Destinies future to figure out something -Duels: Now this is my favorite option because is covers two areas, Social interaction in patrol as well as private match PvP. A duel would consist of a menu option when you look at another Guardian to invite inspect or whatever called Duel or Challenge. Once selected the Guardian would be asked yes/no if yes you would be restricted to the zone you're in other wise you forfeit and lose the match. Rules could be put in place for how many deaths via the Challengee's menu before he challenges. The beauty of it would be that fireteam leaders could have anywhere from 1 to 2 other on their team making this a 1v1 2v2 or 3v3 private match PvP while on Patrol, the areas would be Dynamic, there would be other enemies to fend off while you fought, the terrain would be ever different depending on where you are and it would be FUN and SOCIAL above all else. you don't even need loot or anything for completing it throw in some achievements for winning so many and people would be doing this all the time I promise. -Sparrow Races: This should be obvious, this is one of the things most talked about since the beginning of Destiny when every Guardian hopped on that Sparrow for the first time. Sparrows are amazing and they should be utilized more. Nuff said. Please BUMP comment add to what I've said HoW is looking better all the time and I think that this game is trying to get out of hot water and I'm looking forward to that. It's obvious they actually "are listening" now even if it does take a while so let's give them what we've got.

I think it's a fun game and I enjoy playing it but then again I don't care what I have or don't have. I don't consider any gun OP just because I get killed by it a lot. I also don't care what other people have or do in the game. I simply play Destiny because it's fun how it is.
