I was thinking for an endgame PvP event, there could be a thing known as the Golden Comet or something along those lines. Essentially, what the event would be, is that a bright, yellow/gold comet would come into orbit around earth for a week, and a special crucible event would open where players choose what type of game mode they want, and then they're given a "set-up" time of about 30-45 seconds before the match starts to equip an exotic in every slot (should they wish/have an exotic for that slot). Basically crucible mayhem with people rocking all their exotic gear without limitations, and then once the match ended their gear swaps back to what they had on before the "set-up" time. The maps would be specifically maps on Earth due to Earth being the only planet under the comet's influence. There could be guy in the tower similar to Lord Saladdin who's a scholar of the "Golden Comet" and distributes special legendary gear, class items, shader, and weapons depending on your standing, and should you reach max rank and complete a specific quest chain/accomplish specific tasks within the Golden Comet event, you receive a special exotic. Speaking of standing though, since it's such a high-leverl event, I'm thinking higher risks regarding receiving actual standing. Something like the Thorn bounty: every time ya win or complete a bounty, ya get standing. Every time ya lose or purposely leave a match, ya lose standing. Thoughts or improvements on the idea would be appreciated. ^^
