So, why is it that everyone seems to want Instant Action to return for the new Battlefront game? What's fun about beating up on half-retarded bots? MP will play literally the same way except with teammates/opponents that behave in a (mostly) reasonable manner.
I guess if you're awful at the game, bots make for a good place to practice, or if you don't have a stable Internet connection. But outside those two scenarios, I can't think of a reason as to why IA would be preferable to Online.

Well I remember playing battlefront online and it was nowhere near as fun compared to offline split screen.
-
I like to do the Easter egg where you can have all the heroes against all the villains on mos easly anybody know what I'm talking about
-
I don't want another titanfall. I couldn't stand the bots.
-
battlefront 2 with bots was fun.
-
It's going to suck. They're releasing so little planets to sell more in the future as DLC. Everyone should have seen this coming. I wish that when you paid for a game, you would get the whole game without having to buy the rest in the future
-
Fun. Why would anyone want to play with a bunch of shitheads online? Not to mention the old games had it and so to remove it at this point would be counter-progressive. I'm not sure why anyone would want less content in the sequel than the originals, but that's how BEAttlefront is shaping up.

Instant Action is a lot less stressful and as a kid, it was fun to challenge friends on it when they came over (even though I knew all the maps... heh). Regardless of it being just bots, it's a nice relaxing way to play I suppose.
-
You mean quick match
-
Instant Action is a great way to learn the ropes of a map and practice against bots (which you can set to seriously hard levels). Also, you have a ton of control over how the map is played.
-
Nostalgia, bruh
-
It should be there, bots are fun as hell and it's great to enjoy a match with a few friends with no other random people. Can't wait for the replies.
-
Do you even need a reason to bring back instant action? Ok I'll give you one, when I'm bored I want to hop in a quick battle and shoot some baddies with a friend or my brother. Instant action was a jewel in BF2, they should make a return in the BF reboot.

Bots make better teammates than people.

I played battlefront as a child. Bots are good for learning. I still play instant action now though because it feels good to have a kd bigger than 1

Edited by ReignofSpartain: 4/19/2015 8:32:58 PMI think that's one of the great things of the old battlefront. Thinking about it no, but subconsciously I think that's what made it great. Huge masses of bots. This allows you to still be killed or overwhelmed, but at the same time make you feel like a war hero. No campers, no rocket launcher noobs using it for infantry kills then go to ammo bot. No 360 no scopers. Just normal combat in a open battlefield while making you feel like a hero THAT is battlefront Evolve and MOBAS got me REALLY tired of relying on teams. Dark souls is also starting to annoy me with Pvp after I got backstab locked once. But I bet I could still kick your a$$ in Pvp games so liking bots doesn't have anything to do with skill

It's been a staple of my personal battlefront experience as I didn't get XBL until 2008. Although, Internet issues aside, it's a mode that requires me to put forth far less effort into the combat in comparison to a multiplayer match. I can load up a series of maps forming my own private galactic campaign. It can be long or short and I get to decide who wins. In truth, the I never played much of the online of battlefront, only 1v1 + 62 bots, and I did that twice. To give you a more direct answer to why everyone wants it, Star Wars: Battlefront I&II are games that a good bit of console players of the sixth generation played and enjoyed. Thus, they grew up around being able to load into a map with 31 AI teammates whenever they wanted to. There's nothing wrong with a multiplayer match, but don't take a well known game that had both a single and multiplayer player function and lop off the former.

It makes me feel like a god
-
Because I loved mindlessly playing and having fun in the first two games.
-
If its all online then itll be just like battlefield but in the future. Im not gonna buy it if it doesnt have the same features as battlefront 2
-
Its fun. Retarded npcs can give just as many laughs as retarded players. Offline modes don't lag either.
-
Because sometimes my connection goes out and I hate games they force you to be online all the time, plus I have off days and I just can't seems to do any good in a game and playing against bots helps lower the stress of those days with constant death. A major thing is just to test out maps and look around for easter eggs and such
-
Some people like things like that. Its not like you are forced to play it if it happens. So any reason it bothers you so much?
-
I'd love to just sit down, and possibly invite a few friends to play against AI instant action, and possibly even Galactic Conquest
-
Playing A.I. Let's you relax and enjoy the game instead of trying hard all the time against real people. There's just something about it in BF that feels right. Maybe pull a Titanfall and mix them both
-
I kind of want them to take a PVE from Titanfall's books. 16 humans on a team but also a big number of AI controlled fodder. Make the human players able to give orders to the AI and maybe have a short squad of 1-2.
-
Test out different playstyles, destroy and feel like a god, etc.
