That moment when the nightfall kicks you in the face
So, I have done the nightfall 3 times this week, and I have to say that I'm fairly pissed off. I have 3 level 32's. two hunters and a titan and I have soloed the nightfall on all 3 characters ( not because I have no friends, just cause I like a challenge :) ) You're all probably expecting me to say I got ascendant shards/energy from all 3 so I want to start by saying Yes and No. So I finished the solo on my hunter and got a a hand cannon, the devil you don't. I already had this gun with better perks so I was a little bit annoyed, but realised that I had another two tries at the last exotic I need: Truth. So I then finish it on my other hunter and get... guess what? Another Devil you don't, still with worse perks.And finally I finish it with my Titan, and I probably don't need to say it, but I got another Devil you don't, also with worse perks. Now I'm not criticising the whole RNG loot system (annoying as it is), but I'm getting annoyed at the fact that the game can't realise that I've had a devil you don't in the past. Got 1 from the first nightfall and immediately dismantled it, then done the nightfall again and dismantled it, yet it still gives me another one from my last nightfall! So, overall, I got 6 ascendant energy from soloing 3 Nightfalls, because the damn game can't realise that I have just dismantled my 3rd freakin' devil you frickin DON'T.
Sorry about the rage, but I'm just really frustrated about completely unfair rewards for soloing an arguably difficult nightfall.
Next week Bungie, just (devil you) don't.

Don't do nightfall back to back I've noticed that RNG tends to have trends

Yeah, that sucks man. You shouldn't be getting the same thing over and over. Still, out of all the nightfalls, this weeks is pretty easy if you have the right weapons with. I can't complain as I got Hawkmoon from finishing with my Hunter. That's not saying I have good luck in the rewards department. This week was my best week for nightfalls. Killed Crota and didn't even get a weapon. My other two characters didn't get anything but ascendant materials for doing nightfalls. I agree, it can be frustrating.

It's not the games prerogative to give you something different each time...that wouldn't be random. Random is mutually exclusive so it doesn't matter what you got previously! So all this post is: "Grrr. I've just got terrible luck...really really bad luck" Look alive though, in the time you got those three useless guns, a whole bunch of people died of horrible diseases. You aren't that unlucky really.

I got energy from two and a useless shotgun that became energy. The person I was running them with got gjallarhorn and a legendary engram that turned into gjallarhorn. From three crota raids she also got a red death and a suros, loads of armour and the raid machine gun. I got nothing but shards and energy. The loot system in this game is horribly broken. I ran roc strikes pretty much all day yesterday and didn't see a single legendary or ship for anyone so it looks like these have been severely nerfed in the roc playlist as well. Just another reason not to play :)

I got the devil you don't when I finished it with my hunter, went to the tower to the cryptarch for some engrams I picked up......once again devil you don't....2 from the same nightfall raid
