People in my school insist cross country is not a sport so this is to prove if it is or if it is not
-
Yes... If they think it isn't they are mental
-
Yes because it is
-
Make this a poll with a yes or no option. As far as being a sport: I think it is one. I don't like cross country much, but it definitely is a sport.
-
people are dumb smh

Edited by Zonda: 4/16/2015 4:12:20 AMArmchair critics' opinions are inconsequential. Anything that has a major skill/strength/endurance focus and is widely competitive is a sport.
-
Yes it is. I don't do it, as running that much seems like hell.
-
They clearly don't know what they are talking about. I am a varsity cross country runner on my school team, and can tell you it is certainly a sport. It has a national championship, which I have been to multiple times, and it has a scoring system. It is absolutely a sport, and don't listen to those idiots
-
More a sport than games like Football, Soccer, and Baseball.
-
It is, for mexicans.
-
As long as you're not taking a plane. YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAH
-
It's a sport.
-
If you go cross country on a train, that's hardly being sporty is it?!

Edited by dogtobycars: 4/16/2015 2:54:02 AMYou go run three+ miles on uneven ground and get below 18 minutes (averaging 6 minutes per mile) and tell me it isn't a sport. The idiots who you are speaking to who insist it isn't a sport clearly haven't been outside of their basement for the past three years... Sorry, I was in track and tried out cross country practice (before I found out I don't like long distance) and know just how hard their training can be.... I still have nightmares about the sand.
