People need to get some perspective.

With everyone freaking out about the fact that there is no new Raid coming with HoW, I think it's time people took a step back and look at what we actually are getting: 1. A new end-game PvE activity in the Prison of Elders. No doubt more details about this will become apparent as time goes on, but I am optimistic that it will deliver. The assumption/implication is that it will be some kind of wave defence/horde mode, which is something people have wanted for a while. While that could end up being dull, it's all in the implementation; it also has the potential to be great, and much more replayable than doing the same Raid over and over. 2. Related to point 1, it is almost guaranteed that this activity will hand out highest-level gear and whatever the 'Raid' exotic is for HoW. All you have to look at is the fact that the damage cap for weapons is being raised. There would be no point in doing this unless we get a new highest-level PvE activity. 3. People are freaking out that there is no new Raid, but I would be willing to put money on there being new difficulties for the existing Raids. These will be the same level as The Prison of Elders, and give out may damage versions of the raid weapons, and maybe even max light version of the Raid gear. This would finally allow for multiple paths to the level cap, and some customisation once you get there. How cool would that be? Plus with these new difficulties may come bug fixes, new mechanics, and of course it increases the total amount of rewards you can get each weekly reset. 4. The Trials of Osiris, while of no interest to people who don't play PvP, looks like it will be awesome. Also, it has its own set of completely unique gear; some of the most badass looking yet in my opinion. That's even more loot, even more customisation, and even more activities to do. 5. On top of all of that, we get the expected suite of new story missions, a new strike, new exotics, new vendor gear, and maybe even new bounties and a whole new hub area if rumours are to be believed. Look at how much stuff that is compared to TDB. I'd say that more than makes up for the lack of a new Raid, especially when we know for a fact that one is coming later this year. Everyone needs to chill out. Bungie is adding tons of new content, and all for an incredibly low price. People just see the phrase 'no raid' and flip out without even having any knowledge of what exactly will be taking its place. Who knows, The Prison of Elders could be even better than a Raid, and that's just one of the things they're adding. Just calm down and wait for more info before going crazy.
