I'm a 331 Gally owner and say Xur should sell the gun

It's time for Bungie to rip the bandaid off and make a statement. Look...there are 7 exotic guns that require certain tasks to obtain. They are: Vex Mythoclast (beat VoG on hard and you have a chance at it) Necrochasm (be lucky to have a Husk of the Pit drop, level it and beat Crota on hard and you have a chance at a crux that gets it) Super Good Advice (exotic bounty) Thorn (exotic bounty) Pocket Infinity (exotic bounty) Invective (exotic bounty) Bad Juju (exotic bounty) That's 7 guns that require specific parameters in order to have a chance to obtain them. For those of you passionate about having trophies after completing objectives and enjoy those elements of the game...you already have an outlet that provides that. Neither RNG (outside of the chance of having a bounty drop to you) nor Xur can give you these specific guns. Gjallahorn is NOT one of those guns. Gally is either RNG or Xur. RNG is a Random Number Generator. The key word in the description is RANDOM. There are no qualifiers in performance for a player to have in order to get the gun. This means: It could randomly come from a legendary engram by 100% chance It could randomly come from a ROC strike by 100% chance It could randomly drop in a Nightfall by 100% chance It could randomly drop in an exotic chest in a raid by 100% chance It could randomly drop by killing Atheon or Crota by 100% chance It could randomly drop in the Crucible by 100% chance It could be sold by Xur ALLEGEDLY by 100% chance by spending 17 coins (equivalent of 2 weekly strikes...approximately) All that being said, I think Bungie needs to let Xur sell the gun for once and for all for the following reasons: 1) It will make Destiny players happy. So many vets are out there already who have more than earned their keep and spent 100's of hours on rolling the dice with Gally not dropping. If you're a vet with 3 32's as an example, how have you 'not' earned something by chance? Yes...selling it will mean that people with 15-20 hours in can buy it too....but how is that ANY different than the person with 15-20 hours randomly getting it from a legendary engram that happens to drop it? Besides...who cares if they do? 2) It makes the statement to let players enjoy the game the way they want to. It is not my right to tell any one of you how you should or should not enjoy the game. As long as your method of enjoyment doesn't interfere with how others can reasonably play the game (ie cheating in Crucible providing players an unfair advantage over others), I shouldn't care what's in your inventory or how you like to have fun. Plus, if you are an individual who 'hates' Xur and he sells your gun....YOU STILL HAVE A CHOICE NOT TO BUY IT. It's not as if Xur forces the gun into your inventory. Plus, for you trophy hunters who still love to have something over others....you have 7 guns that already provide this! Gally was not selected as one of them. 3) It stops the trolling from (SOME) Gally owners (after Xur day). I know many Gally owners don't care. Yes, there will be a lot of venom initially, but we can FINALLY MOVE ON and talk about positive things!!! Some of these posts trolling on those not having it really is unfair and, at times, mean spirited. Besides...the trolling is inconsistent and only targets certain guns. Last week Hard Light was sold for the FIRST time and I barely heard anything. When Red Death was sold for the THIRD time, I read a lot of hate. This leads to the conclusion that people selectively choose their stance on the basis of popularity. If you hate Xur (which you're allowed to do), it should be consistent regardless of the gun he sells. At the end of the day....we all should celebrate with each other our enjoyment of the game and not care how each of us individually enjoys it. It doesn't matter. How does your gaming experience impact mine if we're both having fun? This is needless hate and trolling that separates all of us instead of celebrating the game together. Let's just have fun...enjoy Destiny and stop hating on each other. EDIT: IF you need to confirm I'm a 331 Gally owner and want to see it...it's on my Warlock.
