How Do You Feel About the "Heavy Ammo Glitch"?
I just use heavy synths. You can get 5 for one strange coin, at this point it's all Xurs good for anyway.
And if your going to do it, bring a NLB to get it done quickly eh?

It only takes too long if dumb asses don't bring a pistol with them. With my gear on my Fatebringer holds about 64 rounds. I shoot out 40 rounds and leave 24 so I don't regen ammo. Only takes a few seconds to fire out that many , then the rest after we step on the plate. I am pretty much forced to fire 2 gally's each time at Crota to ensure he kneels because alot of players have mediocre Rl's. i mean c'mon how difficult is it to bring a damn handcannon to the raid? I ain't waiting 5 focking minutes to use another synth when I can just run back in and pick up the heavy right off the floor at will. Those extra rockets means the Swordbearer's ass is going down quick & still have plenty to drop Crota. If you wanna use synth's that is your perogative but I'll have plenty of rockets while you wait for your cooldown.

Ok, here's why I don't buy tons of synth from Xur. (Hate me all you want I'll never change Muahahahahah): If you pull your group from LFG you have no way of controlling or predicting how other people will deal with the heavy ammo situation. Some people buy loads of heavy synth from Xur for strange coins and think everyone should because the glitch takes too long. But even if you dump a hundred strange coins into synth, if you join an LFG group you're likely to wind up waiting for other people to use the glitch, and you could have just saved the coins. Also if people are smart enough to equip hand cannons to empty out their primary it doesn't even take a full 60 seconds. If you wipe 10 times, that's maybe around 10 minutes. If you're really in a hurry that's long enough to START being a problem. BUT... if you're wiping that many times you likely have bigger problems than the glitch. That said, the glitch is no replacement for backup synth and it's smart to buy at least some for emergencies called the ogre room.

2 RepliesI honestly don't care because I'll spend 12 strange coins a week getting 20 heavy synths for each of my characters. I just find it easier to pop one and by the time everybody is done doing the glitch I can use another if need be

I'm not voting because I'm in the middle with it. If people are good at it (as in switching weapons while they are dead to have less ammo when they spawn) it's not bad... But if they don't and it takes long it's annoying

2 RepliesThe heavy ammo glitch is exactly that, a glitch. Therefore, those that do it are purposely introducing a bug to the game. In my experience other known bugs become much more prevalent, like the sword bearer not coming out or the sword falling through the map. Why is it so hard to use a synth or two? Are people really still wiping so much and so fast that synths and natural ammo drops aren't enough?

I can do the heavy ammo glitch in about 10 seconds, but then I had to wait for some squeaker to waste all his primary ammo on this oversoul eddict and when he switched to his rpg to waste that ammo to he blew him self up....

I just see it as Crotas minions returning all the heavy ammo I had stolen before the patch. It takes about a minute to empty a hand cannon, surely that's better than a 5 minute cool down on a synth?

Its annoying waiting Buy ammo packs xur has sold them for like 3 straight weeks But hey whatever do what you do Just wish people would switch to nlb or vex to empty out ammo

I have never used it. And last night while trying to beat Crota hard, we probably wasted half the time sitting around waiting for people to finish shooting their hand cannons off. I don't know why people refuse to just use heavy synths. Didn't even end up beating him -.-

It's really more heavy ammo exploit, since players are exploiting the drop mechanics of heavy ammo. But I really don't care too much for it since synths are readily available from Xur in the past weeks on top of the fact the actual glitch the resulted in heavy ammo loss has been fixed.
