Got grimoire for Gjallahorn and it says I have one kill with it but I've never got it.

Destiny records kills based on your location in the game. So if someone right next to you got a kill then there is a chance it will count towards your grimoire card. This does not affect actual kills in game only the game tracker for your career is really affected by this.
