Thrilling Public Events Everyone loves loot, it's the most rewarding feeling to find loot after a kill. Public events are very fun, but they can be thrilling with more loot. • Loot drop rate increases per wave in public events. As the difficulty increases per wave, loot drop rates increase in increments of 5% after each wave is defeated. This increase in loot drop rates begins after wave 3. • Increased drop rates for engrams including legendaries • At wave 9 exotic rates increase in increments of 3% per wave • Each wave completed follows an announcement of next wave with a number effect with audible and visual flare. Example: Announcer deep voice "Wave 9", the nine audibly slams on the screen with lighting effects. The audible and visual flare of the number increases in intensity with each wave, giving a sense of excitement. • Increased final reward according to waves defeated when gold tier medal is awarded. • Platinum Medal Award: Platinum awards include Motes of Light as well as more materials. • Public Events occur just as often however the bonuses can be exploited only once per day per character. All other public events will remain with current drop rates. However platinum medal still awards materials since gaining platinum will require teamwork, toughness and skill. Only high level players can attain Platinum medals. • Just imagine seeing all those green and blue engrams sprinkled with purple ones at wave 8, if you can make it to wave 8. • After timer for public event ends, no respawn zone is activated and the event officially ends as soon as all participants die. • Amount of experience gained upon finishing public event is based upon the final wave reached and medal attained. ***Bump/Like this if you want this! Edit: I would like to add that with the possibility to attain platinum medals and more loot, this will increase activity on each planet, and unity during public events. Because it will probably take a group of 6 guardians to reach waves higher than 9. After wave 9 you better hope all 6 guardians have heavy ammo and maxed gear and weapons.
