If the gameplay isn't the reward then stop. Game developers need to know that carrot and stick shit only attracts the worst kinds of players. You got your snowflakes who think they're special when they get the carrot and get jealous of other players carrots and you got your obsessive gamer who's rushing through to try and get his much wanted rewards. Nobody seems to play Destiny for the fun of it, and that's weird because it is fun.
I've had it with the whole concept of "prizes" in video games. It's total chaos and causes scandals in multiplayer online games. It apparently makes people crazy. People should be able to relax and have fun with Destiny or else you can go beat your own balls with a baseball bat or dodge cars on the highway if you need some pressure in your life. If you need drama, go date someone with kids. Get this negative bullshit out of my beautiful Destiny world and if it makes the snowflakes and progression-pressure types go away, well, that's the idea.

I play in a clan that is all about the fun of Destiny. The times that we have all fallen about laughing at someone's stupidity in a raid (normally me), I've lost count of. The best thing about Destiny is the people. Just find the right ones and the game is fun...

I play because it is fun, but I'm old school that played arcade games in the 80s that had no rewards and were pure repetition.

I love my trophies! Teaming up with friends to go after trophies is always fun!!!

Why? It is just another activity to try... Nothing wrong with exploration.and achievement hunting. Its better than let's plays...

Problem is that it is this addiction that Bungie uses to keep people playing, like a casino.
