An interesting thought I had, modern society is obsessed with cause and effect, with defined sides which produce outcome I a single interaction While many of those in the counterculture are intertwined with the concept of symbiosis, in which there's continuous interaction between many multi faceted factors, in which a clear cause/effect relationship is difficult at best to define Modern science rejects these symbiotic relationships because they are hard to define and track therefore hard to recognize and prove This is why so many people will stick with certain ways of thinking despite how strong the science is on the matter. Granted many things this happens with can be stupid, but many have valid basis as well
