I lived a relatively uneventful life, and eventually, I died. About my death I remember very little, other than it being unexpected and quick. What felt like an eternity went by, I felt as though I was dreaming, drifting through a plane between life and death. I heard a voice, speaking to me in whispers. Not sharp, harsh hisses, but rather more a soft tone, almost melodic. It told me stories. After some time I suddenly heard a new voice. This one was proceeded by some mechanical chattering noise. There was a flash of blinding blue light. Something started moving through me. [b]Feeling.[/b] I suddenly understood that I now had arms, legs, feet, hands, eyes, a heart! all at once, I was alive. The floating thing before me introduced itself as a ghost. It kept referring to me as "hunter". I did not understand at the time what this meant, still in awe, questioning how, and why was I alive. Suddenly I heard some sort of roar in the distance. The ghost warned me of creatures named "Fallen", and that we weren't safe here. Still disoriented and not quite used to having limbs yet, not to mention afraid. But something gave me the courage to move my feet, the voice in my head. The same whispers that I heard in death. It told me to trust this new friend, and so I carried onward. This is was the start of my journey.
