I love the idea of needing greater communication and awareness to compete but one thing still annoys me.
No it's not supers, I find them to be key to building and using momentum to succeed. Which, coupled with the use of cooldowns, makes this game very competitive. Much like the incredibly successful and competitive MOBA genre.
It's the uber low ttk on the exotic primary's.
In a game that is currently very connection based, as were the halos quite often. The ttk on exotic primary's is instant and can not be countered except by a sniper rifle, which counters everything anyway, but requires ten times more nerve.
How can people complain about the use of supers in crucible but not exotic primary weapons that kill you even faster, and are far less situational??
The fact is that Bungie know the numbers, they know exactly the ttk on each and every weapon, so they must clearly be aware that not using one of these weapons will indeed put you at a disadvantage.
So why then bring out a game type that boasts more competition? Unless the ttk on these weapons is how it's meant to be. In which case, why would we need such a variety of guns for crucible? If winning in a competitive scenario is what people want, then these guns will always dominate and skew any real evidence of ability, skill, and enjoyment for those wanting variety??
So what do we think?
