Betrayal
I have a large roster but about 7 or 8 players I regularly play with. In the last two weeks, I have been in either CE or VoG with the same players (about 5 of them) and reached the last cp only to have to quit because someone had to go or whatever. I then find out that they complete the raid without me even though I informed them of the time I would be on and I was on at that time. I feel betrayed. I know as a 54 year old man that people can sometimes do mean things in life lol - but I guess I expected different from this game. This is my first online game and multi player. But to see players that I helped do NF even when I did it already for my characters, Exotic Bounties even though I didn't do it for myself, helped them get confidence in themselves, helped them level up their characters - reach 32 while I languish at 31 on three characters and can't get more than the one raid piece I have. I will go to random groups. At least I won't feel the connection thing and if I get screwed by them somehow - so be it. n Look, I am not the best player out there. I have carpal tunnel and am in pain most games. I work hard at supporting my team - jumping into a big bosses face to revive my mates - anything to help my team. My only consolation will be when I someday get good then great at PvP (I really am going to make it my business to do so) - I may come across them on the other side and I will blast them to nothingness hopefully messing up their Exotic Bounty ordeal, lol.
EDIT: Thanks to all the Guardians that responded to me. Know that I am in a good place today thanks largely to your kind and thoughtful responses.
EDIT 2: A very big shout out to theraggedege1, BigMikeysPS, forwardn2urmom and SlyLefty for taking me along to my final Crota CP and finishing it easy peasy with lots of laughs to boot. You guys have taken me from a let down feeling to being super happy by just being the fellows you are.
Edit 3: Some of you were concerned about my mental state and I really appreciate it because it came from your hearts. I am okay - I just felt abandoned (better word than betrayed) and once I read your really nice responses - I started to be lifted up. Once theraggededge1 introduced me to his team (now mine as well) everything lit up for me. Instantly there was a connection. We not only worked really well as a team - but had so much fun doing it. Again thanks to my new teammates for making this Guardian feel at home and again to all of you wonderful people who were so helpful in your responses.
