EASY and SAFE HM Crota Kill

HM Crota No commentary visual of the method we used to safely down Crota. My group was LFG made. This is just an aid for those who have little or no idea what they should be doing when joining a group. This method is not the fastest, but it is safe and effective. Good luck Guardians. Edit: Added a step-by-step guide for those that requested one. vvvv --------------------------------------------------- Team Setup: For this method we used one Bladedancer Swordbearer with Blink Vanish and two Defender Titans with Blessing of Light. The rest of the fireteam makeup does not matter. Healing: Since there is no Chalice your team will need a method of healing themselves if they take damage. Any Titan can get healed by any bubble with Blessing of Light. Warlocks and Hunters should use their melee on thralls. Armour that allows you to heal by picking up orbs is essential. Mask of the Third Man, Apotheosis Veil, and An Insurmountable Skullfort are good options. Suros Regime and Red Death can also heal you if you have them. Avoiding Enrage: Crota can be taken down while avoiding his enrage until the very end by getting six hits using Right Trigger with the sword across two kneels. This means it will take 18 Right Trigger hits total to kill him using three swords and making him kneel six times. --------------------------------------------------- 1. Activate the crystal. This phase is easy enough. The safest spot to stay is up on a doorway. You can hide from the knights, shoot the accolytes, and protect your back from the other side. Coordinate with your team to drop the Knights using your super so you can spawn orbs for the titans. 2. Once the inside is cleared allow your team to pick up ammo, etc. You have all of the time in the world before you exit the tower so be patient. Make sure your teammates are ready and lined up near either of the exits before crossing the doorway. This is keep damage from boomers a minimal. 3. Make your way to the outer ledge of the glass in the middle. This keeps you safe from boomers and Crota while he's in the middle. The Swordholder can hang out in the pit below to be nearer to the sword. Snipe away at the Swordbearer and let your Swordholder know when his health is low. 4. Once the sword is picked up and you're waiting for the Swordholder to give you the okay to open fire on Crota; place a Titan and Bubble on either the left or right platform that Crota rotates to (depending on which side your swordholder wishes to jump from). This is to aggro the boomers and keep your swordholder from being annihilated. 5. Make Crota kneel twice (or thrice) and everyone should make there way back inside. Stay in the crystal room to make sure the Swordbearer that spawns will stay in the center when you exit again. Crota rotates to the right so its safer that everyone goes inside from the left. 6. Once Crota begins to move your team can head back outside again and repeat the process. However, on the second (or third) kneel your team should make your way below the right boomer tower by crossing beneath the bridge (to evade boomer fire). Avoid the thrall that spawn inside and jump on top of the doorways. 7. The Ogre spawns right in the back so take him down quickly before he shoots anyone. If you're fast enough the ogre that comes out of the other tower won't have enough time to hide in the pit before you start firing at it. This makes it easier and faster. 8. Once the ogres are down everyone should make there way back into the crystal room jumping over thrall and killing any that follow you in. Wait for Crota to rotate from the right side back into the middle before exiting and heading back to the window ledge. 9. Take down the Swordbearer as usual and get that Titan bubble up. Wait for the Swordholder to tell you he's ready. Down Crota and at this point his Oversoul should pop up due to his low health. Ignore the Oversoul and make Crota kneel again. BOOM. Encounter complete. Good luck, Guardians. -------------------------------------------------- A shout out to Presso! A group got put together with Presso being our swordbearer. He did so much damage in two kneels that most people would need three to match up! Check it out here! He got me my first Crux of Crota and I still don't even have a Husk of the Pit. (;
Please no comments about me whoring for views. I don't have a "dedicated" channel and I'm not a "Youtuber". Just a part of the Destiny community.
