Necrochasm isn't that bad??
This is my first crucible, first rumble match with the infamous Necrochasm. I went in to the match to see what all the fuss was about, and to my surprise I actually liked the gun!!
So is it the player or the gun? Thats the real question.. All the videos I've seen with the Necrochasm sucking are usually video where the player doesn't even seem like he/ she is trying to win. All in all the gun handled like a beast for me..
So I'm thinking that most of the Necrohaters probably haven't even used the gun and it's just a he say she say thing, or they're just tribe in general..
To top it off I'm not some super pro underground pvp'er so imagine this gun in someone else's hands!! The thing would be a beast?

All in all, the weapon doesn't suck.. it just needs some tweaks here and there if its wants to win that exotic spot in my eyes..

If they would've given this gun the string of curses perk it wouldve been awsome. Thats the bad juju perk for those who dont know.

First video looks like the other players are garbage you shoulda died 4-5 more times not saying you are bad but I think the other players made the gun look better

1 ReplyIt's not good period. Given that its a lot worse than the vex even though the vex has materially less total damage makes this gun the worst. Clearly bungie did not play test it at all.

5 RepliesIt's mainly that it's magazine size is far to low for its RoF. I personally like HRoF AR so I'm used to the recoil, but the constant reloading sucks, especially against higher level enemies in PVE.

Its a great gun at close to mid range, Ppl forget its a primary ment to be used in that range and not for yellows, but thats their issue

One clip for one or two enemies. Sorry it sucks. You end up realoading more than shooting.

Its fun on patrol and stuff but I think most people like me are disappointed since this was the DLCs raid gun, the grand prize if you will and its basically useless for any major encounters. Sure you can use it in the lamps section but there are arguably much better choices. I think a lot of us were expecting it to stand up to the vex. I loved the idea of upgrading a gun from a white to a legendary to an exotic it was refreshing and new but I wouldn't call this AR an exotic, for me it's just a fun trophy to use on patrol missions (which I rarely do)

I like it, for what it is. I am definitely more of a Hand Cannon/Scout Rifle player but as far as high ROF guns go, I enjoy it.

Some people are used to the AR's with the super low rate of fire, that have no recoil, and when they use high RoF assault rifles they can't keep their reticule on the target's face. It can't be good if you have to be a decent shooter to use it, the ones that take the least amount of effort are the good ones because then you don't have to try as hard, duh.
