I think there will be in online multiplayer, but no split screen in MMO open world. Lots of people have said that an MMO style game wouldn't support split screen so I guess I'm believing them now :)
Now my hopes are that there will be a split screen option in all Destiny's modes. (campaign, MMO and MM)
Me and my bro will be buying two PS4s, but it would be nice to have the option for a friend to play with you too. It'll sure be expensive to buy all that, but it'll be worth my cash.

It's not an MMO. Just think of borderlands. Borderlands had splitscreen. I am just wondering how they might make it work with online.

Never played Borderlands, but I get the idea :) For MM, it would be like Halo and COD.

Our family is actually living on one income. It is our own money, meaning our parents aren't buying it for us, and we've been saving it most of our lives like spending our money on very few things for the last quite a few years. When we were little, we had a huge collection of LEGOs and so it sold for quite a few hundred USD and now we're selling outdoors gear like our compound bows we got but never used. I must say it sorta sounds like we're rich, but that's just stuff we got free from various places. We also had extra books and such that we've sold. And we don't have a second TV in our house, so we're going to have to buy a TV, 2 PS4s, 2 subs for PSN and 2 copies of Destiny. We've been planning on buying this for awhile and we'll have under $200 out of pocket each, so it won't be too bad.

The stuff we're selling is paying for it, so it really isn't a lot of money we're spending. I'm thinking of it as a giant trade-in of magazines and stuff we don't use for some games and consoles we'll use quite a bit.
