make an option to report fireteam leader who kicks team mates just before chest loot

1 ReplyBack in D1, I put up an LFG post for speedruns of Challenge of Elders. No bounty completions, just try to burn through the bosses as quickly as possible farming the exotics and other loot. Things are going pretty well. I'm picking up new players as old ones drop out. Then I get this one bozo. I notice it is taking noticeably longer to burn through the bosses than it has been. I don't think much of it, at first. Then I notice the new bozo is running around killing ads, doing virtually no boss damage. I asked him what he was doing, he said completing bounties, I reminded him we were trying to speedrun. He continues to do his own bounties. So, I waited until the final round and kicked him right before we melted the boss. He flips his s[b]h[/b]it. Threatens to go to the Bungie forums and reddit and see to it that I'm never able to put together my own fireteam ever again. He swears he knows enough people that I will effectively be blackballed out of D1. The moral of this story? Sometimes the bozo deserves to get booted. #noregrets

They should just remove the ability to kick players 30 seconds after an encounter starts and for 30 seconds after an encounter ends. Wanna kick someone? Gotta do it before an encounter starts or before 30 seconds pass when one does start. Wanna kick someone after the Raid for whatever reason? That's fine. Wait 30 seconds so they can get their loot and then you can kick them and then run around in your completed Raid game state.

All I can say is clip it and send it in. Until Bungie implements some sort of prevention system for this sort of behavior, as in not allowing players to be kicked while in combat with a boss enemy, then this will occur frequently. As a word of advice, I would say you should, when possible use either your clan/friends to lead the fireteam or make your posts/fireteam.

8 RepliesEdited by ExoBunnyGirl: 2/21/2022 12:40:11 PMWhile I don't agree with this I have done it twice but the two people I removed were being very racist and very offensive to female members of my team and would not stop harassing them even after I had threatened them several times. It wasn't even on the last chest for one he wouldn't shut up before the end of the first encounter so after we did it I kicked him and closed the fireteam and banned him from discord. Safe to say he wasn't happy 😂

12 RepliesThey should take from Outriders lead and make it impossible to kick anyone after a majority of encounters and before the final encounter. Another reason why LFGing is atrocious in principle.

Not that I think doing that is good or ok but purely as a devils advocate combined with my faith in humanity I have to believe some reason exists for that to be done. Maybe someone out there is just that bent that they would do that for no reason but it’s not like there is anything to gain for them. I see people get mad but I also see people load into activity’s and not contribute, say they know what to do despite having no idea and joining under quipped or not at all. Personally I don’t like doing anything I’m not as prepared for as possible. You avoid being the person dragging down others as much as possible. Sadly I know this isint the case for so many out there. Before blaming a dog for biting why not ask yourself what happened that forced that dog to bar its teach. Yes the possibility exists that you did nothing wrong and as a pillar of virtue, overwhelming destiny skill and a coveted team member the fire team leader was simply jealous of your perfection. However this seems less likely than the possibility events occurred leading you to be kicked. I’m skeptical of anyone claiming one side of the story exists and they were nothing but an innocent victim. Also you could just report them so either that’s beyond your capabilities or your true intention was venting. Please don’t report me for simply assisting you in facing the truth your hiding from.

The way, I think to address this might be to program each encounter so that you will still get the loot from that encounter so long as you were present when the encounter "completed". Then, it would be pointless for someone to try to be an "-blam!-" in this way. Should still be an option to report them. But, if you take away their ability to deny others the loot they rightfully earned, it takes away their power.

It's not happened to me before but it really is the most scummy behaviour. Once you are in that final room, kicking or leaving for orbit should be separated out. If that means they kick you before the final boss, at least you'd have the check point.

Ngl, I've only ever done this to people in a lfg when they somehow managed to tick me off beyond any comprehensive control and yet, I too feel that there should be a way to report this because I know sum people who help others do a raid, GM, Dungeons, etc and get kicked before they can get their rewards.

they can kick you? ive tried to kick really bad players before and it never lets me
