Bungies aim is to sell Transmog for real world money, not to give it away. The in game grind will be purposefully long and tedious so people get fed up and purchase instead. Also, just my opinion, but I can honestly see the cash shop selling facial changes in future, as it's all cosmetic, have a beard, £5.
