Casuals get left out
I don't understand why bungie always locks some of the greatest items behind team-based mechanics. Exotics like Whisper of the Worm or Izanagis Burden where i pretty much have to have a team in order to complete the task just annoy me. I am a casual player, i have a 4:30am to 2 pm job. I don't want to have to wait for friends, whom i know don't like to play destiny anymore, to get on and help me and i don't like to play with randoms if its from matchmaking. I prefer to play solo. I also don't do raids. In my whole destiny career, which started when house of wolves was released, I've only done 3 raids. Vault of glass, crotas end, and the leviathan. I just never enjoyed them So why are all the amazing weapons and armor locked behind team-based events. I just don't understand

8 RepliesFirst off, you can get those solo. You just have to have enough skill. Second, things are meant to be hard. You can’t always just be handed loot without putting in effort.

Seeing those items is supposed to make you want to depend on other people to get them. That in turn suckers you to convince other people to play the game, which then tempts other people to spend money on the game/Eververse. More people more sales. They don't care about you or me as a solo player if we're not recruiting others to spend money.

In games like this, most of the best things will probably be behind some degree of group content. That’s just how it is. If you don’t have the desire or the time, that’s just life for you.

You shouldn't expect to get every piece of loot if you arent willing to put in the effort. I dont raid, and haven't in any mmorpg or loot game I have played and have never once felt like I deserved the loot just because I play the game. I don't have raid exotics because I dont raid. If I really wanted them, I would raid. Simple

5 RepliesI work 6am-2pm, none of my irl friends play destiny, and I'm as introverted as they come, I got whisper solo and I'm working towards Izanagi's solo too, maybe you're just bad?

You do know that people have soloed that content? However, usually you need to be highly skilled, I guess you aren't there? There are guides to soloing. Bungie has admitted that they are leaning towards developing content for the hobbiest players, aka hardcore.

10 RepliesBecause the best rewards should push players out of their comfort zone and encourage you to work together. That's what makes it feel gratifying when you overcome those challenges. Not everything in the game should come just from simply running around and shooting monsters by yourself.

4 RepliesWhat they have needed to do for a LONG time is add match making for everything, then people could at least try it for themselves. Just like your post, you'll see the number of down votes I get by people who just want to feel special. They block off parts of the game and after seeing all the comments on the Black Lives Matter post, it makes me happy I never got into a clan cause you never know the clan you are going to get. Oh and I hope they change the name Clan, not really a good idea in today's world.

No point for the weapons when you won't use them to the fullest, if it's that bad of a collector issue then do what needs to be done. I work 10 hours a day and I've only missed a few exotics because I simply don't care for them. Most exotics can be done solo with only a few exceptions like WotW and Outbreak, maybe a few others for the catalyst. These should be done in a group because again you don't need to be a dps machine in patrol, handouts like D2 vanilla would make them hollow.

If you only play solo then you're the one stopping yourself from getting the best gear.
