Crucible is no longer fun
BEFORE ALL OF YOU GUYS SAY GIT GOOD SCRUB. I have unbroken and I'd like to say I'm pretty good at the game. But I cant use the weapons that I want because every single player in this freaking game has a summoner or gnawing hunger. I just want to have fun with a shotgun and a Lumina on my warlock.but all I face is cheese :ie mountaintop arbalest(console)bastion it's made crucible not fun for me. And my buddies.

I've recently found it to be downright unplayable for me. The ungodly amount of people using WitherHoard and that new sniper rifle. I've been spawn killed before I can even turn in most matches. It doesn't help that a lot of quests suddenly seem to want you to get kills without dying in crucible or lose progress, which makes playing the game overall even less fun. I've also recently started seeing people just leave the game mid match on my team alone, which puts three people against six and doesn't make it any better.

7 Replies80% of the matches now are one sided blow outs. You are either on a team with god tier players with 100% head shot accuracy or you are on a team of noobs. Lobby blalancing is the worst it's ever been. Plus the lag is still super bad. Pvp in this game has never been fun or balanced but at least with sbmm the matches were more even more often. But hey, the streamers and youtubers are happy now cuz they can run around getting 20+ kill streaks again with ease.

What? There hasn’t been this much variety of weapons in a long time. I’ve been in plenty of games recently with people running super off-meta weapons and it’s refreshing to see.

To be fair, by throwing sweats into the mix with lesser skilled players it's only going to serve to completely pigeonhole them into the meta to feel they can at least compete.

If you have unbroken then its likely you got carried, if you are as good as you claim then you can use anything you want and do good anyway no matter the loadout. Are people using the hunger more than usual? Yeah but thank bungie for the sunset on that, Only reason mountaintop is still around is because the catalyst quest for the witherboard requires guardian grenade launcher kills. Crucible has never been so easy to me, im rocking 40+ kills on average and if I happen to get less than that, im still qt the very top with most kills on my team and more kills than the enemy team. Im not trying to brag, im just saying im taking a different approach when I play now that it happens to make me perform well every game.

True. No fault of the system, but the sandbox. Bungies AR buff was unprecidentedly stupid. It gives a better ttk with less skill, and have more range than hand cannons.

Yeah, I've had similar experiences. I'm like: "let's do some casual comp, what could go wrong?" A lot, actually. I [i]want[/i] to use Outbreak, but it gets dunked on my literally everything. On a positive note, the rank up loot is pretty good. But, yeah Crucible is quite the sweat fest.

1 ReplyDon’t take it the wrong way But Ive been suffering as a player that uses auto rifles for an extremely long time. For the first time in a while the meta has shifted and your upset because you want to be able to play the way you always have and get the same results . You will simply have to adjust . If you are a solid player , you will find something that works or just stick with what you always have and let the chips fall where they may

They need to buff other weapons to make them viable. I think they’ll buff 140’s soon

You wont like my answer to this, and the answer is play what you want and suffer the consequinces. In every PVP game ever up till now and into eternity players have used the best most meta item no matter what, even if its not fun to use. The answer to this problem would be perfect balance but game developers continually change too much shit to achiev this. As well as introduce new content/items. Destiny 2 was good for a bit but just went down the shitter... find a better game?

Facts, its just the meta is probably at its worst rn. An auto meta is never a good meta. 600 RPMs are overpreforming, and win almost again any weapon in the game in gunfight TTK's yet requiring the least amount of effort to use. Meta slaves are the real issue honestly. The abuse the gnawing hungers and summoners paired with revokers is just painful to deal with for a match to match thing. This is why I'm so glad sunsetting is helping this by removing broken guns like revoker from playlists like trials.

Said it before... it’s never been good, as far as competitive PvP goes, but it is something that is different every time you play. Sometimes get stomped, sometimes do the stomping. It sucks in terms of matchmaking and has always sucked at it. If you’re not a Hunter, strap one on and learn it, that’s one way to get better.
