The incredible RNG that is 1K Voices
So today I have successfully opened my 40th ethereal chest and not gotten 1K Voices. However, one person in the fireteam opened two, yes two, 1K Voices in under 10 runs. So I come to these forums to share in my excitement for my fellow Guardian in his amazing achievement! I'm so glad that this amazing weapon is locked behind RNG and not any sort of skill. So thank you, Bungie. Thank you for these 3 months of agony in trying to get my 1K Voices and prolonging this content that I have spent countless hours grinding. Thank you for destroying all hope of ever getting that exotic.

24th or so chest was my 1k voices chest. Funny enough, I got the vex my very first atheon kill. Literally did nothing as two warlocks pushed him off then boom. Felt genuinely bad since I was replacing someone else and not ten minutes later, they killed him. Got over it quick though after taking it into the crucible. Man, pre nerfed vex was a sight to behold.

Everyone one who said they got it then didn't touch the raid again, is exactly why they went back to rng. If you haven't gotten it you will keep playing it, and hopefully bringing your friends with you.

Got it in 7, haven't been back since. Gally was a year. Still not balanced out.

5 RepliesSome people must not remember Vew Mythoclast, I raided so hard to get that gun and didn't until it was nerfed and not worth the exotic slot in TTK.... Learned after that not to care or plan to have ANY luck with RNG... I don't plan on ever getting 1K voices, just gotta enjoy this game without it, it's certainly BS considering how easy it would be to make it an auto drop after 10 or 20 clears but that's Bungie for you

10 Repliesits less about RNG, and more about luck. since there are multiple chests you can choose from, it really comes down to luck.

I've opened about 30 chests.... finally got 1k voices today. Never going back into that raid.

4 RepliesGiven up trying to get that gun on 28 raid clears now opened 29 chests. Some clam members are getting it on 1st drop. Should of been a quest or at least a way when you don't get your chances get increased
