Let us choose which new super we want first!!
Don't decide for everyone bungie! If you're going to time-gate the new supers, then let us choose which we get first and lock the other two behind whatever bs you were originally going to do.
Make it like the exotic sword quests in D1. We can pick one, and then wait a week for the next one. Let there be a variety of supers the opening weeks! Don't limit everyone to the same new subclass at the exact same time. Don't shaft everyone right at the start of forsaken.

1 ReplyAre you going to use the Arc Strider 3rd tree? Pretty much took an Artifact from D1 and made it a super... It's going to be as useful as Sentinal Block. And I bet when you deflect stuff you lose a big chunk of Super Energy .

1 ReplyI'm guessing this was a reveal in TWAB or somewhere else that I haven't read.. if true, it's pathetic. I'm so tired of devs choosing how I should play. "Here's your LEGO set, you can only make a square, enjoy". Bungie does, Battlefield does it, COD does it, gaming as a whole is so f'ing ridiculous now. It would actually be funny if it wasn’t so sad. The expansion hasn’t even been released yet, no one but the devs know what we will actually be getting. If time gated or not is still the question that only Bungie can answer. They have only said It will take time to EARN the other abilities... and half the players go wild with assumptions that everything is locked away until Bungie decides to dish it out. I won’t even try to dis or hype the expansion in any way until I myself have firsthand experience after its release. But no matter what comes, half of the players will lose a lot of salt over it.

7 RepliesTimegated Supers might be one of the most idiotic things I've ever heard from a gaming company. Yes, people may not care. But that doesn't mean it's a smart idea. It's a terrible one. It's shows that Bungie leadership is still trying to micromanage the way we play. So here's my guess for order of the new Supers: week 1 (Sentinel, Dawnblade, Arcstrider), week 2 (Striker, Voidwalker, Gunslinger), week 3 (Sunbreaker, Stormcaller, Nightstalker)

You can choose which one you want first. Just hit the Xbox button and click on "uninstall"

1 ReplyIf is going to be gated then you may as well bet that the perceived best will be kept for last, you dont give out your best from the get go, you keep those in to keep people returning. Heck, i am wiling to bet (even if its a bit of a conspiracy theory form my part) that the crap vanilla, crap DLC 1 and 2 and then Lord and savior Expansion was planed this way from the start, its fallowing D1 down to the D ^_^ from the pre-launch reset to the expansion that supposedly fixes it all. Bare bones D1 = Bare bones D2 but with less bones than D1 The Dark Below lack luster DLC = CoO DLC (that makes the TDB look like a nice expansion) House of Wolves another lack luster + PoE = Warmind + EP TTK the expansion that changed destiny for better = Forsaken supposedly the savior of D2

7 RepliesMeanwhile, Summerset dropped for ESO. Did you know the Psijic skill line was open immediately at release of that expansion? All you have to do to max out the Psijic tree is finish the Psijic questline and bam, you have all the skills and passives. Nothing was time gated and unlocking all the skills is up to when you as a player decide to do so. [spoiler]ESO might be a bit flawed but damn if they don't get player agency right.[/spoiler]

Stated in the same article the Dreaming City changes on a 3 week rotation. I wouldn't mind if it was tied to activities in the Dreaming City as a form of unlocking them.
