Stomp was put into place to keep us from shotgunning bosses, I get it but to be knocked back to your death even when at distance just means that the area of affect is just too high.

I'm not just talking about stomps, the sword knights in Menagerie and Reckoning also have too high of AOE. A sword hitting the ground should not have hand cannon range, we should not die at our highest part of our jump because of what happened on the ground
