You people are drunk if you think just because you had to grind for Luna it justifies its cheapness
Legit I think it took me 4 sit ins doing competitive and I have Luna’s. This gun is absolutely disgusting. The fact that it isn’t exotic is mind numbingly baffling to me. I honestly have no problem with how quick it can kill someone. It’s just the consistency. Hawk moon in D1 was an extremely powerful EXOTIC hand cannon that could 2 tap. Was 100% my favorite weapon in that game hands down. Never thought it was that broken because there was about 3/13 (who knows if that’s the correct math) chance it would 2 tap someone with the lucky bullet.
Luna’s perk literally activates every time (besides the BUG when it doesn’t) you get 2 heads, which isn’t hard to do with the near max stability. They seriously need to bring more guns near that tier of deadliness. Luna’s is a bit too consistent for my taste for me to say it should stay as it is. If they changed the perk to “there’s a chance after two precision shots for bonus damage” it’d be much more balanced. There just has to be a better prerequisite than “ duh two head shots” which again isn’t hard for that archetype of hand cannon.
*Im using “earned” not as saying the way they acquired it was fraudulent rather as a way to justify how overpowered it is. For an extreme example if there was a challenge to do 10000 games in a season then you get a primary gun that can literally one shot someone in the body. Would you say that since they earned that gun it should be kept the same because it required a hard grind?*

1 ReplyThe only problem with it is that people are afraid of it. I'm willing to bet most of the people who have it got carried or lucky. Fabled is just a pain to get to, heroic is a learning experience and this portion of the quest is both the hardest and the one that resets but the sudden difficulty and playstyle spike isn't taken into consideration, every other quest step can be done in a couple days without trying. *shrugs* Luna's is good and all but ever been hit by not forgotten? Yikes lol

3 RepliesHonestly, I don’t have Luna’s, and I’m going to say that it sucks in Rumble. It’s great at peeking, no doubt about it. But if you’re out in the open you are screwed. Fighting Lion is still the best gun. 144 around a corner. Insane damage. But that’s just my opinion.

Destiny is a game where you grind for guns and gear. Legendaries in d1 were commonly more powerful than exotics. Nothing new here.

5 RepliesThe weapon is earned as you see many players still whining about how “hard” it is to get. RNG in TTK isn’t a good idea. That’s exactly why we don’t have Luck in the Chamber anymore. The only thing to make it less “op” (which to me it isn’t) would be a change in archetype. Luna is also wayyy too overrated. Not Forgotten is where it’s at.

12 RepliesI don’t see the logic of accomplish the hardest pvp task in the game to then get a weapon that will make you even better at pvp... I mean you don’t need it and it just gives the better players even more distance from worse players. This also applies to pve activities. I don’t get why people want the best weapons from doing the hardest tasks. Give everyone access to the best weapons (not handouts) and give the best players cool flair for being the best.

I cant say from personal experience using it because I wont even beging the quest. Anything in this game that has me do X in one Season is an automatic "No" from me. Excluding events like Dawning, Crimson Days, etc. You guys have fun with those guns now. Dont shoot your eye out.

Ect. I don't see any problems with what the weapons do? It all looks quite balanced to me. I think the problem is simply that some weapons are more popular and used more often than others which makes it seem like they're more broken or over powered. If the changes to Luna's Howl which you mentioned, did happen. Everyone would simply change to one of the other weapons which kills in 2-3 shots/bursts. One of the major reasons people use Luna's Howl is because it's 'harder' to get than the other weapons and therefore it feels more enjoyable and rewarding to use.
