Read again. He does want stuff just handed to him because he's a vet. That's uncool.
I've been in 28 years, so, yeah, I know what I'm talking about.
Anyone who's in or has been in--if they're worth a damn--will tell you that if you're really down and out, we're there for you. But no one worth the term vet should bring it up as a sympathy card to get what they want in a freaking video game. His status isn't relevant to his "request."

Now I see you truly believe in what you are saying. Although that mind set is equivalent to anyone else with a disability "wants things handed to them" I can use many examples such as automatic doors and ramps. Did ppl asking for these things just want it handed to them? In your mindset duh. Now I know your gonna say it's just a video game. If that is the case why would it be so hard to just impliment match making how does matchmaking effect players who decided to form a team? Wouldn't team players still have a advantage anyway how could this possibly effect you in a negative way? Maybe you are just being a little inconsiderate.
-
That is the worst example I've ever seen. Not having matchmaking is equivalent to not being wheelchair accessible? Are you really that clueless? Accessibility means not being locked out of things others can have based solely on the disability. We won't go into the limits, for now. It does not mean being handed things others don't have. It means being able to get into McDonald's, not being able to order a steak once you're in. His alleged disability has nothing whatsoever to do with matchmaking. No other solo player can have what he wants, either. It's a pure sympathy ploy, and thus pretty despicable.
-
The only reason that makes sense to you now is because it has already been implimented. I see your point though still I don't agree with undervaluing a persons opinion due to title or disability. I'm going to let this conversation die because I understand both points and we are both right and wrong about different things.
-
You're mistaken that I undervalue his opinion because of his alleged disability. My point is his disability has nothing to do with his opinion, and throwing his disability out there like it's relevant is cheap.

This, thank you. Although I get why he said that. I think he's simply looking to convey the message that he hates to socialize in a way that most of us wouldn't understand. You know these forums, people would simply call him a pussy if they didn't know about it. "Hey fag if I can do it you can do it too grow up skrub" I was actually a bit shocked when I first researched PSTD and had interviews with several therapists and psychiatrists about this. Man the -blam!-ed up shit I was told made me realize I probably really can't imagine what it feels like to suffer from that. That reason aside, the veteran card was not the best card to play, but then again would I want to help him anyways? Yes probably. He just seems like a troubled guy that needs some friendly mates to play trials with.
