PS4 gets 4 day early access to the Beta... Thats acceptable.
PS4 gets exclusive ALPHA access too! WTF Bungie!?!
Well, I can already tell you the game will probably have a hell of a lot more problems on Xbox because all Bungie cares about is optimizing it on Play Station.
Plus they get all sorts of other exclusive goodies like maps, etc!
For Bungie, this Beta isnt about testing the game, its about marketing it, and marketing Play Station.
Not to mention they charged us for it. Dont get me wrong, I had the game pre-ordered anyway, but others may feel more strongly about having to pay just to get Beta access.
Oh, and barely anything new shown in the trailer. I thought it was all about multiplayer?
Does that come tomorrow?

Up to that point, I had hoped it would get better, but when I read that sentence I realized that I was reading something written by someone with the current emotional equivalent of a two-year-old. The entire point of a beta is bug testing. Think for a little bit instead of immediately going for the knee-jerk reaction. Every new bit of info from Bungie brings all the whiners in the Xbox crowd out of the woodworks and makes the community as a whole look bad. "u abandund usssssss!!!! I HAET U!!!!! BUGNE U SUK U DUN LIEK USSSS!!! PS DUN DESURV U!!!!" Get. Over. It. It was a smart business decision by ACTIVISION. Learn to cope with disappointment or you'll never make it in life. That is all.

10 RepliesYou have no one to blame for deals like this ever getting done but Microsoft. They started all this crap with buying exclusivity for DLC, timed exlcusives, etc.., because their in-house first party studios suck so they needed 3rd party titles to sway buyers into buying the 360 (Halo games excluded. They were all great). This all started with GTA IV, then spread to COD, et al. During the days of the PS3 Sony wouldn't play ball. Now that they are people have a problem with it. I personally don't care for these exclusive deals myself. I don't truly believe that any real PS fan does, especially after what we went through last gen. If they do they are seriously jaded and need some help. I just call BS when I see it. Now that all you Xbox fans are having to deal with just a taste of what us PS gamers went through last gen, SONY is more of the devil than they already were to you and nothing is fair. You have been the haves for so long that you are spoiled and can't get a grip and come to terms with being the have-nots. You also have no one to blame but Microsoft for Xbox gamers being the have-nots after 2013's E3 debacle and message. They have had to go back on everything they said; always online, no used games, must have Kinect, and so on. Not to mention that Microsoft is not a hardware manufacturer and they shipped an over-priced, under-powered machine. Numerous websites with first-hand knowledge of how the cloud works tried to get you to see that the "Cloud" was a bunch of BS, but you bought all of MS's corporate smoke blown up your asses like it was the word of God. If you notice the "Power Of the Cloud" was not mentioned once during this year's E3. I know that Microsoft came in and bought Bungie and paid the costs for the Halo games, but if not for Bungie's creativity in making a kick-ass game and ground-breaking networking expertise (the entire backbone of Live is borrowed from Bungie and Halo), there never would have been an Xbox 360 or Xbox Live. The original Xbox would have failed more than it did anyway and Microsoft would not still be in the console business without Bungie. The Halo games are soooo good that people put up with the horribly made original 360 to the point that most people went through between 2 -4 consoles because of the RROD (points once again to MS being a software, not hardware company) just to play Halo. My point is Bungie and Halo made the Xbox brand what it is, not the other way around. Did you buy an Xbox or Xbox 360 because of Halo or the other way around? If you bought an Xbox or 360 because of Halo, Bungie does not owe you nor Microsoft anything. Especially when Microsoft is about to milk the hell out Bungie's blood, sweat, and tears (Halo's 1-3) and Bungie won't see a dime in royalties from the Master Chief Collection. Your anger and frustration are misguided with everyone you are trying to blame for your supposed slight. It is not the fault of Bungie, SONY, nor Activision. The blame lies 100% with Microsoft!!! Well, guess what, life isn't fair. It never has been and never will be. You just got to learn to let it go. I am as passionate as anyone about video games but they are just that; Games. They are not life and death or the destroyer of self esteem that you guys are making this Activision / SONY / Bungie partnership out to be. If any of this has destroyed any of your self esteem, you seriously need to step away from gaming and re-evaluate your lives and values.

You pay to pre-order the game and get free beta access. If you really are gonna complain about that then grow up, and if you actually are a Bungie fan you would not waver your stance toward them due to small console exclusives.

Eh I'm not too worried about it. I've been an xbox gamer for many years now, and has owned every generation of both playstation and xbox consoles. Simply because they both have always been good systems with a diversity of games that wasn't playable on the other console. Still I have always stuck with the xbox because there online gaming is, and yes I believe this full heartedly, more competitive and that is what a game like destiny needs. Non the less I will be buying this game for both my xbone and PS4. Though i am entirely sure i will be playing the game more on the xbox. More people to want to do the competitive activities on the game were playstation network gamers want to loligag and kill time.

5 RepliesI wish Halo 5 and Destiny had the same release dates ! So we could show them how a TRUE fan base sell games

8 Replieslol chill bro

The booths at E3 were about multiplayer, not the trailer. They were demoing PvP for the first time since they didn't do it last year.
-
19 RepliesSince we're talking about exclusivity, hows about we have universal release dates for all films and games instead of this whole US first bullcrap. Non-regional specfic apps (cant get hulu or HBO in UK). Hows about we pay the same price for the console? It was at least $150 more in UK than US on launch. Hows about E3 Comes to the uk. It won't happen, some things get priority, that is the way of the world

I just want to play the game already!!!!!!

Let me put this into a metaphor for you: Say there are only 3 types of people in the world, and they each wear a different color shirt. One type wears green, the other wears blue, and the last type wears both (just follow along, the last one doesn't actually matter too much, as they get the best of both worlds, they just spend a LOT of extra money on both styles of shirts). Now, it doesn't really matter who's who, as it's just a clothing choice. However, say you work for a restaurant that started out selling food to everyone, but the restaurant got bought out by a company that said "You will no longer sell food to those who wear blue shirts, only to those who wear green." After the transition, you restaurant comes up with a recipe that ends up being one of the best ever created. Everyone wearing green shirts is going to be ecstatic, while those wearing blue won't be able to enjoy it. Fast forward a 10 years, and your restaurant new recipe has been better than anyone could have ever dreamed about. Now, your managers find a way to get control back in their own restaurant, and leave the former owners behind. They still have the makings of that original recipe, but they want to make it better and different, something new. Remember, this is a business after all, and you know those who have eaten with you before (green shirts) will continue to eat at the restaurant. But how do you draw in the blue shirt wearers who have never had a taste of the food? You offer free samples. Put a big sign out front that says "Welcome all those who wear blue! Come try our new menu, free sample included, and you can even try our new recipe first!" It's a good business tactic. Bring in new customers and offer them an incentive. Those who have eaten at your restaurant before know how good the food can be, and most will stick with it. Others may switch shirts just to get a taste of the new food first, but in the end, everyone makes out the same. TL:DR Moral of the story: Dude, chill. We all get it in the end.
I'm going to copy and paste this into every post I see about people complaining that PS is getting shit earlier than XB. I've been a 'green shirt' guy much more so than a 'blue shirt', and i'm actually happy Bungie is welcoming their potential new fan base with open arms, as do I.

Playstation came up to Bungie and offered them a bunch of money, and Bungie took it. That's why Playstation is getting all this exclusive stuff. It's all about the money.
-
1 ReplyYeah they get early access to the Beta and Exclusive Alpha and other stuff... We had Halo.
-
Wow ignorant.
-
I wish I could down vote this a million times. If you think Bungie has some sort of obligation to you because you're an Xbox guy(I'm saying this as one), you're wrong. Period. You do realize that Bungie originally made games for the Mac right? The Mac fans went around moaning just like you're doing now, and if they had succeeded we wouldn't have Halo. Bungie is now free of its Microsoft chains, they'd be crazy not to push it on a new system.
-
1 ReplyIt's a business agreement between Activision and Sony. Bungie has nothing to do with it.
-
They charged everyone for the preorder. Regardless of console.

Nope, Cry some more

4 RepliesWhat's weird is that at the end of the Microsoft conference they said something like "We will make the Xbox One the best place to play all these new and exciting game like-" and then he started mentioning a few. But one of them was Destiny. Is Bungie hiding some Xbox exclusive content?

4 RepliesEdited by Citrus raptor: 6/11/2014 9:47:19 AMI'm starting to think that the best thing those who want equal access to the Destiny alpha/beta can do, is ignore the beta altogether. Cause what happens if the game is released and it is buggy? Bad reviews most likely. That's how you show that you care, that's how you make a statement. But most Xbox owners who want equal alpha/beta access probably don't care enough to sacrifice the opportunity to play the beta at all...
-
6 RepliesThats why I haven't preordered it, sure i'll miss out on some extras but i dont want to pay for a beta. Im not too fussed about bonus content after all it's not what you have, it's who's using it.
