You acknowledge that you're not great at pvp yet still think you deserve adept trials loot? Do bad pve players deserve an easy mode for master raids and gms that still give adept loot?

  • He never once said he felt like he deserved loot. What he did quite clearly say is that he wants better, fairer matchmaking.

  • Why is the word fair being used here? If nobody is cheating, the game is fair. Skill is supposed to be the determining factor when deciding who wins no?

  • It's more what character you play and who you play with that determines how good you are in a specific game mode, no? Example: I loved 3v3 checkmate survival, ( imo should be our base 3s game mode without weapon and health tweeks to ttk )you are clearly at a disadvantage if you're not using hand cannons and playing titan, no? Trials - well and bubble win loss rate is higher than hunters even thou hunters hold the highest player usage % Comp - well, there's no reason to play comp, is there..

  • Your load out does not determine your skill no, neither do your teammates.

  • So you’re telling me that your teammate makes you better at hitting your shots or making decisions?

  • Absolutely playing with ppl that I know and how they play make me a better player then with ppl I don't know.. So you're saying that you do better in Solo trials than with friends?

Is it fair for a high school player to face a college player? Is it fair for a NASCAR to race an Indy Car? Is it fair for a guy with no experience to make the same as the guy with 20 years experience? Why is it only in terms of PVP that it’s fair when matchmaking is the way it is. The answer is because it suits the narrative of the good to better players. Period. Nobody is gonna just magically get better by facing those much better. And besides, it’s endgame PVP, right? So if that’s the case then shouldn’t it be balanced and fair to show who is the best?? Oh, and if skill is the determining factor, THEN WHY NOT SBMM?!?!?!

  • Everyone that is "skilled" earned that skill in the exact same environment before the advent of safe spaces

The “high school vs college” doesn’t work here, that isn’t fair because of “man strength” not necessarily skill. In a VIDEO GAME, everyone has an even playing field. If you’re worse, you lose. That’s fair. And you do get better by facing better players, that a concept in every sport and game. I’m sick of crybabies who don’t want to try in PvP ruining the game and making me match cheaters or people across the globe. I can’t play with my friends from school because they HATE my laggy, out of their league lobbies. Grow the hell up, the game doesn’t need to be catered to you because you’re bad. The only “fair” way to do this is every being in a randomly skill assorted, high quality connection lobby. Protect the lowest of the low from the top .5%, that’s all that needs to be done.

  • Wow there's so much to unpack here, I guess I'll just list it chronologically:
Is it fair for a high school player to face a college player? Is it fair for a NASCAR to race an Indy Car?
Yes, if they want college/NASCAR level rewards, they will have to compete at college/NASCAR levels. Similarly, if you want flawless loot, you will have to face flawless players.
Is it fair for a guy with no experience to make the same as the guy with 20 years experience?
You seem a bit confused on this point, as you're making an argument against your own point here. This is the real-world equivalent of sbmm, where everyone gets the same rewards(pay) regardless of skill or effort. Under cbmm, the highest performers make the most.
Nobody is gonna just magically get better by facing those much better.
Wrong, that is exactly the way to get better. Ask any good player how they improved, they will tell you it was by playing and watching players better than themselves. You will stagnate and form bad habits by only playing bad players.
And besides, it’s endgame PVP, right? So if that’s the case then shouldn’t it be balanced and fair to shows -blam!- is the best??
Yes, it's endgame pvp, not kiddie pool practice mode. The best succeed while the less-experienced fail, just like in endgame pve. GMs and master raids aren't easier for worse players, everyone plays the same game, just like in trials everyone plays the same pool of players.
Oh, and if skill is the determining factor, THEN WHY NOT SBMM?!?!?!
Because in sbmm it doesn't matter how good you are, everyone has a 50% win rate. In cbmm, the better you are the better you can perform and the more you'll be able to win.

  • I know I’ll never go flawless and that’s has nothing to do with why I would want balanced and fair matchmaking. It’s because it’s tiring just knowing you are cannon fodder and as such have no real opportunity to even hope to go flawless.

You have every opportunity they had. More so, cause practice pool for non flawless has SBMM.
