The Origin of The Witness... (from destiny, not the book about the Amish starring Harrison Ford) What is the witness? The Witness is an upper middle class teenage cis/het white boy who lives in a fully owned house in a gated community governed by an HOA. The beginning of it all was the day that The Witness got out of bed, read Atlas Shrugged, then watched "The Matrix". Realizing that they were in fact marginalized by an oppressive system that was designed to control them and prevent them from achieving their ultimate potential they bought a shirt that said "[b]I would explain Nihilism but it doesn't matter[/b]", followed by a black trench coat, and the entire display case from the local mall ninja emporium. The Witness spent their nights, there after, friendless and alone (by their own choice) brooding about how their life has been ruined by being too happy. Having their private education provided for by their family, having never once been struck by either of their happily married parents, having never once worried about there being a roof over their head or food in their belly, the unfairness of it all outrages them. "I shall have vengeance on my life being too idealic! This I swear!" Years later their parents and parents' friends loan them some money interest free to start up a business named "FinalShape industries". After numerous ill fated successes by being at the right place at the right time they become infuriated by their continued happiness. They are driven into horrifically abusive business practices, a trend of taking credit for other people's successes while blaming their own failures on anyone but them selves, and ultimately begin work on a plan intended to cause global economic catastrophes and ultimately wars, famine and death, all to the eventual goal of replacing all sentient beings with automated systems though The Witness hopes to be off planet by then. The Witness generates countless disciples with the false narrative that they pulled them self up by their boot straps out of the "unspeakable poverty" of their childhood, and promises that if if they follow FinalShape Industries" directions, they shall gain ultimate power. The Witness in fact does not care about their disciples but they still defend him violently on facebook and twitter against the worthless plebians who simply do not understand The Witness' vision. The disciples are now all bankrupt after having invested all their money into block chain pyramid schemes just as they were going belly up. The Witness is too far in over their head in a new venture they foolishly forced themself into to be bothered by it. Surely all will end well. This is why I keep saying "never meet your villains, they always disappoint)
