Mentors/Ninjas appretiation post

Now that we know the bounties are not over today it feels like I’m going a bit too ahead but I really would like to sum up everything that went on from my point of view these three days. English is not my native language so please bear with me, but I really wanted to reach as many people as possible with this post, especially Bungie mods. I personally had a blast with these bounties watching everyone on streams. You can check my profile and see I haven’t played a single match, even though I was at most of the streams at least for a while. My goal this time was not to get the emblem but to mod a single stream from one of the mods and I somehow ended up modding many of them. I had a lot of fun and was amazed of how good the bounties managed the whole situation. Most of them had never streamed before and I found some of them to actually be good at engaging with the chat and keep an angry crowd entertained. It is a positive thing that BB are hosted by content creators as they are mostly pro streamers and they can greatly benefit from bounties. It is just logical that they will organize more as they can do it in a very less chaotic way and can handle easier the big figures they may get from streaming a bounty. However, sometimes I feel like content creators are people that can spread their voices and their opinions more easily and often than others, while such important part of the community such as the Bungie mods have to stay in the shadows. I feel like leaning an event like this towards them has helped the whole community to get to know them: realize they are not bots, actually finding out about their work as mentors/ninjas, learning about how they help the players and the positive values they put so much effort on putting into the community, and basically help them become more RELEVANT. I think they really deserved getting out of the forum and crashing into the game. Some of them served some random moments and had a bit of a struggle managing this whole situation but all of them delivered fun, chaos and lots of emblems. I really would like to express my feelings about the whole thing because I really hope there will be more BB hosts like these in the future. They don’t do this to obtain any fame or money but to have some fun, but besides that I think they did more than that. Thank you for teaching us some things about your volunteering job and thank you for dealing with us daily on the forums! You all did amazing. Honestly hope you also had a good time from your side of the bounty. And remember: community before Tuxy’s doggo, find Eriena for the Bungie Booty and TWAB is short for Travis Works At Bungie (someday)!

              • Honestly the only use this post has was showing how many mentors and Ninjas there are. Ive only ever seen atleast 2-3 but it turns out there is way more. Tbh I forgot mentors existed but now i know theres aton. These people never do anything so why do they have these special roles? Half the Ninjas never do anything and the Mentors don’t really do much and are under a rock 80% of the time

Playing with the community and being able to talk to more and more of them has been an absolute blast. I’m looking forward to my last Bungie Booty! man I didn’t know the skills that some of the mods had either! So it’s been awesome for me to spend more time with them too outside of the walls of Bungie moderation.
