1. Inflate the population numbers
2. People stop complaining that rich get richer
3. Flawless rewards becomes more available
4. Less recovs being paid to go flawless
5. Prove to the playerbase that Bungie doesn't only care about streamers and the top 1%

1. Inflate? By removing 20k+ people from the playlist. Go flawless once then leave for the weekend. 2. It takes away from the aspirational loot, inflating how many people have to. Making it no longer “aspirational”. 3. Rich get richer? Adept weapons and mods only make small boosts that aren’t going to be super noticeable from their normal counterparts. 4. There are always going to be recovs bc people are lazy and don’t want to work for their loot. This only makes it easier for them. 5. Bungie cares about the casual playerbase, they’ve shown that with so many changes in game. The one time they cater to endgame players everyone gets mad. God forbid they put difficult to get rewards in the game.
