Can we have the ability to remove mods from items? Example: I have a boss spec mod on a kinetic but a want a rank and file mod on it. We should have the ability to take the mod off, it goes into our inventory, and be able to place whatever's mod we want on said item! I'm not sure why this isn't a thing already.

Same thought exactly

I thought this was about forum mods lol

2 RepliesThe thing with removing mods is that basically you will only need one of each mods for weapons if you can remove them. You need a rampage mod, just take it of the weapon that has it and put it on the new one.

Wouldn't need to be a thing if there was an actual way to aquire mods in this game you want.
-
That would be nice so we don't lose the mod currently equipped
-
Yes definitely 😎👍

They wont even take cores off infusion. U really think they are gonna do something that could be a convenience for the player??
-
Would be awesome to swap out mods, dismantle them for mod components to buy another mod. We need more mod perks in general. And letting us reroll masterwork like before.

I thought this was going to be a post about Spawn. I think he might be drinking today.
-
2 RepliesI thought you meant moderators, like the ones that keep locking threads
-
I would just like them to be more plentiful.

1 ReplyMods are a higher investment choice. Not a simple one like infusion.

Edited by MADG33k: 4/28/2019 10:56:06 PMBungie does not want players changing mods on a weapon on a whim. They want it to be a difficult decision as to whether you keep the weapon or the mod when you make a change. If you want a new mod on a specific weapon then you lose the old mod. If you want a specific mod from a weapon to place it on another weapon then you lose the weapon it came from. When mods came out they were very specific as to this is how they want it to work. It is not an accident. I have no problem with you requesting this change, I am just letting you know that you have a steep uphill battle to get it to happen. Probably even more difficult than getting them to remove the enhancement core requirement from infusion.

Edited by LethiaAlethia: 4/28/2019 10:39:07 PMThat would make too much sense. ;-) If you cannot remove mods you eventually need to farm for more to replace lost ones. Replayability and all that. This is how Bungie tries to keep you playing.

4 RepliesWe have two weapon masters in the tower, Banshee and Ada, you’d think one of them would be able to pluck a mod out of a weapon for you. Also let Amanda Holliday reroll sparrows.

Mods should function like ghost projections.

To make your decision more impactful.

I've complained about this since day 1.

I'm not sure why this isn't a thing already.
If you look at any destiny feedback or overall conversation it's about petty meaningless garbage like "muh gun", "I want this", "No I want that". Rather than talking about how things are working/not working towards the goals Bungie has and why. There's your reason.

i'd rather just have direct purchase option of all available mods any given time. It wouldn't be as big of an issue swapping mods if they weren't reliant on RNJesus.

Agree

6 RepliesI wish we could still change energy types on the weapons.

😎 Well said.

Inflated Grind, my dude

Edited by yourchutoy: 4/29/2019 1:01:26 PMIf they did allow the mod to be removed it would probably cost Enhancement Cores to make out choices feel more Impactful and Meaningful.

I just want my kinetic reloader mods back :(
