I have Luna and i agree i have advantage that i don't want.
Will i continue to use it? Yes i actually took time to earn this. Its fun and i like it.
Do i want it to be easier for everyone to own? Yes i prefer a fair fight over having an advantage.
Do i think people who are constantly trying to keep luna and not forget out of peoples hands cause they didn't "earn it" are horrible privileged dbags? Yes why do other players of this game take enjoyment out of holding others back.

To answer the part about why people like stopping others. I can only assume it’s the kids that didn’t get ice cream after dinner or a toy from the store so that insist on flexing on others. Never understood why this is a thing but those people normally quit after a while and go back to whatever cesspool they climbed out of. I like Ace and Trust but acknowledge the fact that Lunas will win if the other player is better. It’s life. It I have never been crushed by it so what do I know.

Technically, all the people using Luna's and Not Forgotten in Comp against people who don't have it yet, are literally trying to keep Luna's and Not Forgotten out of everyone else's hands, similar to the way people who first got to the Lighthouse in Trials then went out of their way to ensure that no one else would be able to (or at least make it a lot harder to).

Well because us privileged dbags want a community to play this game with and although Luna isn’t the root of all the problems this game has when it comes to player retention, it certainly isn’t helping the cause either.
Well because us privileged dbags want a community to play this game with
Most of my friends want nothing to do with pvp since the pinnacle weapons have overrun QP. If it was easier to earn maybe more people would play. Cause who wants to play a game rigged against you. I can't see a reason a person without a luna/nf would want to play crucible for long periods of time. It must be oppressive. That is why the crucible players numbers are falling.

To be fair Crucible numbers are falling for a lot more reasons than just Luna. It’s just my opinion things of Luna’s nature are gonna keep people from coming in and staying. I love this game and this franchise and I want it to succeed as much as the next guy, but seeing decisions being made like Luna that drive newer players away instead of welcoming them in breaks my heart. It’s like Bungie has forgotten how to appease both casuals and hard cores like they did in Y3 of D1, or especially all the way back to Halo when there wasn’t even a such thing a causal or hardcore. I don’t have all the answers and I certainly am not above believing I can be wrong, but everyday I come to the forums and see wonderful suggestions on improvements that could easily be made to this game. Systems and ideas that expand on existing content without radically changing anything. And not only do they largely go ignored, the community itself grills these people in demeaning and quite cruel ways. It’s like they don’t want this to succeed. It’s heartbreaking.

Honestly Luna and NF were bad ideas. Magnificent howl should just have been a perk that can roll. And the old method of farming for guns should have been the way to get it. The way it is not arms the strongest players and oppresses every one else.

The better players were gonna destroy you anyway, you know...because they are actually good enough to get the gun lmao.

They can salvage the situation by introducing new random rolls into the general weapon pool to help counter some of the pinnacle weapons. The random rolls are still new to D2 so some catch up can take place if the right combination of rolls come into play. D1 random rolls brought somewhat accessible weapons up from just being “pretty good” to god-tier. D2 is going to need to flesh out the random rolls and weapon system to accommodate more ways for people to get good weapons without grinding nothing but high-level content that only a very small part of the population plays. I’m not talking about nerfing or removing pinnacle weapons, because there needs to be stuff for the hardcore gamers to chase. They just need to place some solid competition in the PvE side that people can grind or random roll. The new forging system could be a great opportunity to introduce some new, really solid competitive weapons into the system with new perks. Balancing PvP can be hard as it’s easy to go too soft or go too hard. The great players will rise to the top no matter what and they will always have the elite weapons and armor. Creating QuickPlay and Competitive may offer tiered levels but sweats do not just stay in Competitive and trashing opponents in QuickPlay with unmatched pinnacle weapons gets old quick for those getting stomped. Bungie tweaked this meta pretty tight and apparently a fair amount of players feel they can’t achieve a modicum of parity against Luna’s and Not Forgotten. These weapons rose to the top pretty quickly with no true counterparts accessible by any other means. Bungie nerfs tend to cut too deep and I would not want to see any of the pinnacle weapons nerfed, otherwise they just become another one and done, straight-to-the-vault item. We already have enough of those.
